Partial Record of Persecution at Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Since September 2001, authorities of
Sichuan Province's Chongqing City Women's Forced Labor Camp have illegally
detained Falun Dafa practitioners in four teams. The guards block the hallways
between floors, thereby separating the teams from each other. Each team has one
head chief and three division chiefs and three deputy division chiefs for each
of the three floors. The camp also assembled many muscular and merciless drug
addicts to act as the "package clamp," which means that one or two
addicts watch one Falun Dafa practitioner. Each team has 12 to 16 of such
addicts who are forced to monitor practitioners' speech and behaviors 24 hours a
day.
Since December 4, 2001, the camp authorities have forced
Falun Dafa practitioners to wear the same uniforms as common prisoners.
Practitioners on the third floor were the first to have to comply. From then on,
Dafa practitioners on the third floor underwent a series of brutal persecution.
The perpetrators twice locked up a nearly 60-year-old practitioner in a small
cell. That means that the detainee is locked up in solitary confinement in a
very small space. The guards will then brutally handcuff practitioners on
their back in a fixed position in which the practitioners can neither move nor
lie down. The small cell is very damp and without daylight. Detainees have to
urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served during
the daytime to detainees locked up there. During the night the rats are running
around. The stench in this space is so bad that it is difficult to breathe. This
Falun Dafa practitioner was forced to stand still, with shackles on, from 5:30
a.m. till 2:00 a.m. the next morning and was only allowed to rest for three
hours a day. What's more, washing the face and brushing teeth were not allowed,
and the practitioner could only sleep on the icy cold cement floor.
One Falun Dafa practitioner refused to stand still after
being brutally beaten by a guard. Team chief He Zongling "bundled" her
knees and pulled her hair tightly to force her to stand up. The practitioner
refused. Chief He Zongling then forcefully pushed her head to make her face the
wall. After being refused again, chief He manhandled her into a position called
to "Carry a Sword in the Back" [The practitioner's hands are tied
behind his/her back with one hand over the shoulder and the other hand against
the lower back. The police enforcers then apply a great deal of force to pull
the two hands toward one another and handcuff the two hands together] until
the practitioner fainted.
Two of the Falun Dafa practitioners were tied onto iron beds,
even during sleep. The meals were reduced to half of the regular ration. The
victims were not allowed to wash their faces or brush their teeth. One of the
two practitioners was locked up for 11 days, and the other one eight days. Some
practitioners were locked up continuously for 18 days. Some were locked up three
times. They were also gagged with towels or had their mouths covered with
adhesive tape.
The team leader publicly supported the drug addicts to beat practitioners and
even personally hit practitioners.
One Falun Dafa practitioner was tortured so severely that the resulting wound
on her body festered and was infected. It took a month for the wound to heal.
After another practitioner was trussed with rope, first one of her legs trembled
and afterwards, both her legs lost their feeling and became numb. She could no
longer move about and take care of herself.
As Falun Dafa practitioners continuously refused to wear the
common prisoner's uniforms, the team chief instigated the drug addicts to
persecute practitioners by enticing the addicts with reductions of their prison
term. For example, practitioners' intertwined hands were tied behind their
backs, to form a kind of knot that would even be tightened if pulled. The
practitioners were then forced to sit on a stool and then were tied to the iron
handrail of the bed. Then, the thugs would remove the stool from underneath them
so that the practitioners could only squat. Falun Dafa Practitioners were not
allowed to close their eyes, nor had permission to wash their faces or brush
their teeth. They were not allowed to use the toilets, except after meals. If
they had to, they were forced to defecate into their pants. To deny the
persecution of the evil, some practitioners simply sat down on the ground but
were pulled up. The thugs then fill up practitioners' food bowls with water and
put them under practitioners' bodies. Various torture means have lasted from
morning till about 2:00 a.m. All practitioners' hands were swollen to a
different degree. Their feet and hands turned numb, and they had difficulties in
taking off their clothes.
Because Falun Dafa practitioners were locked up in isolation,
many practitioners' situations are unknown.

Wu Chunmei, deputy division chief of No. 4 team and division chief of 3rd
floor;
Wang Zhiqiang, deputy division chief of No. 4 team and division chief of 2nd
floor;
Luo, former division chief of No. 1 team, was later transferred to No. 4 team
to be in charge of 4th floor;
Ai Xiaorong, deputy division chief of 3rd floor;
He Zongling, section chief;
Zhang Yongqin, section chief;
Hu Xiaoyan, in charge of brainwashing.
