Like Plum Blossoms in the Snow Greeting the Spring: Jilin Practitioners Rectify the Fa On "Spring Day" To Welcome in a Bright Future

(ClearWisdom.net) Through more than two years of the storms of persecution, Dafa practitioners in Jilin Province have been following the Fa, constantly strengthening their righteous thoughts, and maturing. On the morning of February 4, 2002, they successfully conducted Fa-rectification activities.

That day is Spring Day on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the first day of Spring. The seasonal change matches well with the development of the Falun Gong movement; as the evils are being completely eliminated, a bright future comes to practitioners. To celebrate this special day and accelerate the eradication of evil, practitioners in many cities in Jilin Province synchronously claimed this day as their Falun Dafa Day. Their celebration activities held under the pressure of persecution are just like winter plum flowers blossoming vigorously, without fear of the frost: "Scattered blossoming plums declare the spring of the colossal firmament."

In one of the cities, on February 3, 2002, under the direction of the "610 office" [ Note: a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches], policemen and local bad elements were preparing to arrest all practitioners. Under this bad situation, all the practitioners in the city sent righteous thoughts to break up the arrangements of the old forces, so that they could celebrate the day at the same time in the early morning as their fellow practitioners throughout the province. They hung up about ten large Fa-rectification banners, dispatched several thousand fliers, and posted and painted more than 5,000 catchphrases in the city [Note: Without access to any typical means of communication such as newspapers, magazines, TVáor radio, Falun Gong practitioners have resorted to many creative and sometimes unusual methods for raising awareness among Chinese people about the persecution].

At one point, a policeman interrupted two practitioners as they were painting a sign. The policeman fired his gun to get the practitioners to surrender, but they wisely eluded him and safely returned to their homes.

On the morning of February 4, 2002, citizens were astonished to see so many fliers and painted signs. They felt so excited that they ran and shared their discoveries with others: "Wow, Falun Gong fliers are everywhere!" To all who saw the beautiful display, these materials helped very much to suffocate and eliminate the evil force.

We would like to cooperate with all the world's practitioners to maintain our righteous thoughts, apply our wisdom developed from the Fa, and move forward steadily step by step in the course of Fa-rectification. The Chinese Spring Festival [Note: It starts on Feb. 12 this year, and lasts five or more days] provides us with a great opportunity to further and more completely clarify the truth about the persecution, and introduce the Fa to more people. Let's use all of our purity and righteousness to ensure the "formation and stasis" of our future colossal firmament.
