Eliminate the Evil with the Voice of Justice

When I distribute truth-clarifying flyers, I often find that the Chinese people don't dare or are not willing to accept the material. Late last year two Chinese marine warships visited Auckland, but the Navy soldiers didn't dare to take the materials. So I said loudly to Navy officials and sailors who were passing by, "The Tiananmen Self-Immolation is fake, don't listen to Jiang's slander and libel. There are Falun Gong practitioners in more than 50 countries abroad. Many foreign governments support Falun Gong and condemn Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong." Although I didn't say much, they were left with a deep impression and began to awaken.

People from China often ask me, "How much a day do you get paid for distributing materials here?" I say, "No one pays me a single cent, neither did anyone ask me to do this. This is completely voluntary. Even the money used for printing these materials was saved out of our everyday spending. We voluntarily use our own money." Once, after listening to this, a lady shook her head and said, "How is that possible? That's impossible." I looked her straight in the eye and said, "Maybe you can't understand. Whether you believe it or not, I'm just telling you, that what I'm saying is true, it's nothing but the truth!" During the time we were talking, five or six other people who were in her tourist group came up and surrounded us. I continued and said, "Why are we doing this? This is for your sake. If a person listens to Jiang's slander and libel of Falun Gong and is against even 'Truth, Compassion, Forbearance,' then this person will be eliminated in the future. You should seriously think about this." They looked at me and walked away without saying a word. Because of my righteous thoughts, they had nothing to say, but a lot to think about.

"I won't look at any paper that says Falun Gong is bad"

One day, a group of Taiwanese tourists came. I said to them while distributing material, "Please learn the truth about Falun Gong." A man asked me, "Is Falun Gong good or bad?" I said, "Of course Falun Gong is good. It teaches people to be good." He immediately said, "You say Falun Gong is good, then give me one."

A lady walked toward me. I gave her a newspaper and said, "Please learn the truth about Falun Gong." She asked, "Where do you come from?" I thought she knew I came from China from my accent, so I said, "From China." She waved her hand and said, "I won't read it." A while later, the man who walked by her side turned his back and asked me in a loud voice, "Does your paper say Falun Gong is good or bad?" I answered in a loud voice also, "It says Falun Gong is good." He said happily to the lady, "See, I said it says Falun Gong is good." They walked back to me. The man explained, "She thought you came from China and were distributing things that say Falun Gong is bad." The lady took the paper and smiled, saying, "I won't read any paper that says Falun Gong is bad."

"You should be proud of practicing Falun Gong"

On a Sunday, a man was waiting for someone in front of a Chinese vegetable market. I walked over and gave him a flyer. He asked me about things he had heard about, the "Tiananmen Self-immolation," the "Zhongnanhai (Appeal) Incident," the "1,600 cases," etc. I said, "Here I have the analysis of the 'Self-immolation.' You can see clearly through slow motion, that Liu Chunling [one of the self-immolators] was killed by a policeman on the spot. As to the 'Zhongnanhai (Appeal) Incident,' Falun Gong practitioners appealed according to the constitution, and there is no law that says group appeal is illegal. Before July 1999, there were nearly 100 million people practicing Falun Gong in China. Even if the 1,600 cases [government made-up stories of deaths which resulted from practicing Falun Gong] are real, for a period of 7 years, this number is significantly smaller than the average death rate in the world published by the International Health Organization." He constantly nodded while I was explaining each issue. After that, he asked me, "Then why do they have the medical receipt of Teacher Li?" I answered, "If they can create such a fake event as the 'Tiananmen Self-immolation' incident, can't you imagine they are using the government machine to create fake documents to slander Falun Gong!" He nodded frequently and said, "Yeah, makes sense."

Then, I told him about several examples of practitioners being persecuted in China. He said, "The situation is severe in China, but there is no problem to practice here in New Zealand." I said, "Jiang persecutes Falun Gong wherever he can reach worldwide. At the end of 1999, seven fellow practitioners returned to China and they were all arrested and sent to forced labor camps right after they checked into a hotel. They were detained for terms from one to more than three months. Two of them were tortured with electric-shock batons. They didn't practice outside or unfurl any banners in Tiananmen Square. The law calls that 'no action,' yet they were arrested. There is no law at all in China! In 2000, a fellow practitioner's mother was in the late stage of cancer, and the practitioner took her 2-year-old daughter and returned to China to visit her mother, but the customs officials at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport refused to let her enter. The mother was not able to see her daughter and granddaughter at the end of her life, heaven forbid!" As I said these words, I cried. He was shocked by the stories I told. A while later, he said to me, "You shouldn't feel bad. You should be proud of practicing Falun Gong. You did such a good job. I know it's hard for you guys to clarify the truth in the wind and rain. I support you. Falun Gong's reputation will be restored for sure."

When I gave out the last flyer, he was still waiting. When I walked over to say goodbye, he gave his flyer to me and said, "Let someone else have this, please." I gave him a truth-clarifying disc and said, "I hope you'll spread the truth about Falun Gong you have learned to your family and friends." He said, "Of course I will."
