Michigan Practitioners Hold Chinese New Year Party


In appreciation of their support over the past several years, Michigan practitioners held a Chinese New Year party for congresspersons, state representatives, local government officials, Chinese community leaders and representatives of Amnesty International to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Friends of Falun Gong praised Congressman John Connelly, State representative Paul Callahan, AI Michigan representative and professors at the university for their support of the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners. The representatives of the people accepting the awards said they could not accept that a peaceful group like Falun Gong is being brutally persecuted by Jiang's regime. They expressed that they would try their best to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong. They hope practitioners in China will have the same rights as overseas practitioners to freely express their beliefs.
