Witness to the Brutality: San Jose female Practitioner Back from Beijing Covered with Cuts and Bruises (Photos)


Twenty-three year old Chunquan Lee is a mother of a10 month-old baby. She went to Tiananmen Square to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong on February 14 together with 4 US and 1 Romanian practitioners.

Ms. Lee told reporter that because she has a Chinese face she was surrounded and beaten by 5 policemen. Her face was covered with blood. "They forced me to the ground, kicked me, slapped me, and choked me with a scarf," recalled Ms. Chunquan Lee, a US citizen detained near Tiananmen Square yesterday. "I was detained for over 24 hours, during which time several male officers beat me and interrogated me, confiscating all of my valuables. I was not allowed to contact the US embassy, nor anyone else." On February 15, she was forcibly expelled back to the US. Ms. Lee had cuts on her face and bruises throughout her body as she stepped off the plane from Beijing.
