High School Student from England is Beaten and Deported by Beijing Police for Unfurling a Falun Dafa Banner -- A Non-Practitioner Was Also Detained and Deported (Clearwisdom.net) After four English citizens were arrested and violently expelled while visiting Beijing as
tourists, on February 14th, 2002, Alex, a high school student from Leeds, England, was
attacked by a group of police because he unfurled a banner in the Forbidden Palace near Tiananmen.
Police punched and kicked his abdomen and forcibly deported him back to England on February 15th,
2002. A Western Non-Falun Gong Practitioner was Abused Deported on the same flight with Alex, was a westerner who was not a Dafa practitioner. Just because
he was found talking with Falun Gong practitioners, he was arrested and deported. This unknown
foreign citizen left all his money and possessions in Beijing, as the police deported him penniless. Alex told us, whenever he meditated in the double lotus position inside the police van or
detention Center, police would cruelly kick him until his legs fell down. Alex returned to his home
in Leeds, and was interviewed by the Epoch Times newspaper. He told the journalist from the Epoch Times about the violence he endured in Beijing. He went to
Beijing with four other English Falun Dafa practitioners on February 11th, 2002. They
planned to call for the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. When his fellow
practitioners were arrested in the hotel room, he got away because they failed to find any Dafa
materials on him. Patrolling Police Frequently Changed to Prevent Them from Knowing the Truth Around 3 pm on the afternoon of February 14th, he went to Tiananmen Square, planning
to unfurl a Dafa banner and validate Dafa to the people of the world. But Tiananmen Square was
strictly guarded. Police and plain-clothes police were everywhere, and they were questioning many
people, especially foreigners. He found a plain-clothes police officer was following him at a 5
meter distance, and he knew that any move to unfurl a banner or practice Dafa exercises would result
in him being caught immediately. So he went to the Forbidden Palace near Tiananmen, and unfurled a
banner in front of a big crowd, which said, "Falun Dafa is Righteous." After several
minutes, a group of police rushed towards him, punching, and kicking him in the stomach. He was
forced into a police vehicle and sent to a detention center. During this period of time, he tried
to escape several times, but every time he was stopped and beaten harshly. When the police interrogated him, he tried very hard to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa. Although
Jiang and his regime are very vicious, they kept changing the police who were watching him, in order
to prevent the truth being further revealed. On the contrary however, more and more police came to
know the truth of Falun Gong. During more than 10 hours detention, Alex refused to cooperate with
any illegal requests and tricks. On February 15th, he was deported back to England. Alex sighed deeply, as he realized the damage caused by the Chinese government to the people of
China was simply horrible. They have sealed all the information channels to block people from knowing the
truth, and they have made Chinese people live under vicious lies. Truly, there are no human rights in
China. English People were Shocked English Radio Stations, TV stations, and major newspapers all reported the incident of these five
English tourists who were violently deported from Beijing. The English audience was shocked about
the degree of violence, and they all expressed the will to help. The UK Foreign Ministry also
commented that they would contact Beijing about the incident of English citizens being brutally
deported. Posting date: 2/21/2002
