(Clearwisdom.net) On February 16 and 17, 2002 (5th and 6th
of the Chinese New Year), the display of "Journey of Falun Dafa" photos along the
sidewalks by Sydney Town Hall Square attracted many passersby, and many stopped to take a closer
look. A young Lebanese man, pointing at a photo in which a vicious policeman was stepping on the body
of a Dafa practitioner at Tiananmen Square, told us that he was touring in Beijing at that time and
he was right on the spot when this happened. He tried to take a photo, but was rudely stopped by the
police. He told us that the scene in the photo was exactly what he saw at the time. He then pointed
to one of the policemen and said, "I know this policeman. He is the bad guy! I remember
him." In Tiananmen Square, the Chinese police brutally tread on human rights, viciously beat up
those innocent people, and this terrible scene has been deeply imprinted on this young man's mind,
leaving with him a lasting memory. He was greatly moved by the immense bravery, compassion and
tolerance demonstrated by the Dafa practitioners, which also left a very deep impression on him. Amongst the exhibit's viewers, there were eight tourists from Mainland China who were looking at
the photos with great attention. They looked though all the photos, including photos of the awards
and certificates presented to Master Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong by various Chinese authorities before
July 1999 when the persecution started and photos of proclamations in recognition of Master Li
Hongzhi and Falun Dafa by various governments across the world. They also looked closely at the
photos of magnificent scenes of practitioners doing Falun Gong exercises in large groups in various
locations in China before the persecution, or forming grand characters of Truthfulness, Compassion
and Forbearance, as well as photos of Dafa practitioners from all over the world doing exercises on
a grand scale. They were utterly shocked when they saw those horrific photos of Dafa practitioners
in China being so brutally tortured. One of them said, " After I have seen these photos, I know
it all. I'm sure Falun Gong issue will be redressed. I support you." Another female tourist who was deeply brainwashed by the Chinese government's evil propaganda
then cut in and said some negative things. Her manner was rude and rather hostile. However, the
practitioner who was talking with them did not take any notice of her rude manner and continued to
clarify the truth to them patiently. The practitioner talked and talked and at times almost choked
with sobs. The kindness and compassion demonstrated by the practitioner deeply touched the heart of
the female tourist who had been rude earlier. She became very quiet, and listened to the
practitioner solemnly. In the end, the practitioner said to her, "Thank you for listening to me
clarify the truth and for looking at the display." The female tourist also changed her tone and
manner when she said quietly, "Thank you for telling us all this. I hope to see you again in
the future." Before they left, seven of them picked up some truth-clarifying brochures and
newspapers. On the first day, three high school students who came to study in Sydney from China walked by and
looked at the photos. One of them said to a practitioner, " I took the newspaper for the sake
of saving your face." The next day, the three students came again, and the same student asked
the practitioner, " Where can I get a copy of Zhuan Falun? Can you lend me a copy to
read?" His eagerness to find out more about Falun Dafa was in such stark contrast to the
indifference he had showed the day before that it felt like he was almost not the same person. The
practitioner was very pleased for their positive thoughts about Dafa, knowing that at least a few
more children whose minds had been so deeply poisoned now had a chance to be saved. There was also a Chinese family of four. After they looked at the photos of the truth about the
"Self-immolation" in Tiananmen Square, the middle-aged mother shouted out in shock,
"Oh dear! I would never have imagined that Jiang's government could be so despicable as to be
capable of even doing these kinds of things!" Her husband went on to say, "This is nothing
new. For them, doing such things is as easy as falling off a log." A young Western lady went especially to look at some photos, and stared for quite some time at
the photo of the 36 Western practitioners appealing for Falun Dafa in Tiananmen Square. Suddenly,
she turned around and blurted out to the nearby practitioners, "I'm going to Beijing to join
the appeal for Falun Gong practitioners myself!" A Western gentleman in his 60's said to the practitioners while pointing at the photos that
showed brutal torture of Dafa practitioners, "All those who were tortured to death have gone up
to Heaven, and those who tortured them will meet with their retribution and go to hell!" People who have learned the truth signed their names on the appeal petition of their own accord.
It was such a moving scene to see. Watching these people signing their names group after group, we
once again truly felt the immense compassion and mercy of our benevolent Master. Truth has
effectively suppressed the evil, clearing out the evil with strength; truth has awakened the
conscience of the people and the sentient beings now have a chance, just like one passerby put it
after seeing the display, " I feel the whole world is going through big changes, and it will
soon turn into a very beautiful brand new world. Truly, that day will come soon!"
