The Mayor of Taipei Personally Visits "Photo Exhibition: The Journey of Falun Dafa" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) It has been ten years since Mr. Li Hongzhi first introduced Falun Dafa to the public in China in 1992. In these ten years, more than 100 million people in over 50 countries worldwide have practiced Falun Dafa and benefited from it in body and mind. Falun Gong has received over 700 awards around the world. In Taiwan, Falun Gong is being practiced by more than 100 thousand people and has been well received in society.

From February 25 to March 2, the Taiwan Falun Gong Association is holding "Photo Exhibition: The Journey of Falun Dafa" in Taipei's Zhongting Government Building. More than 100 photos will be displayed during the Photo Exhibition, which truly records Falun Gong's vigorous springing up in Taiwan, China and around the world. On February 28, two concerts organized and performed by practitioners will also be held.

Yingjiu Ma, the mayor of Taipei, participated in the press conference at the opening ceremony. He said that when he did his morning exercises, he always ran into Falun Gong practitioners doing exercises; he not only saw the banners of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" in Taiwan but also around the world. The freedom of religious belief is protected in Taiwan. He expressed his support of the constitution and that people have the right of religious belief and the freedom of spreading the teachings. He also agreed that the self-cultivation method would be the ultimate solution to the current social problems.

Yihua Lin, the Taipei councilor who came to express her support, said that her teachers, including Jinhua Zhang, Juzheng Ming and Qinxi Zhang, Professors at Taiwan University, were all Falun Gong practitioners. She expressed her recognition of Falun Gong's teaching.

Zhengxiu Lin, the director general of the Taipei Civil Administration Bureau, emphasized that the Falun Gong phenomenon was international. He especially cited Lenin's words, "Never persecute any religions." However, the Chinese Government seems to have forgotten this advice. He respects Falun Gong's teaching and believes it will be spread worldwide.

During the press conference, three practitioners, Doctor Manguan Ao, the director of Zhengxin Hospital Orthopedics Department, Huilin Wu, the professor of the China Economy Institution and Attorney Wanqi Zhu shared their experiences of practicing Falun Dafa. As they enjoyed the pure and melodious Dafa music, they sincerely invited everyone to learn Falun Dafa and experience its great benefits.
