Clarifying the Truth Among Everyday People

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners cultivate among everyday people and should not stay away from the everyday society. The people that we should clarify the truth to are everyday people, so we should openly make contact with them rather than stay away.

During our cultivation, some practitioners worry that they may be left behind in the Fa-rectification process, so they spend almost all their spare time with other practitioners or wait for the contact persons in their practice sites to come up with ideas for Fa-rectification. Sometimes they cultivate by themselves, claiming that they have started cultivation and thus have different interests than everyday people. This greatly reduces many practitioners' opportunity for contact with everyday people. It is indeed a loss for Fa-rectification, as those sentient beings are the ones we should try to save and help. Without contact, how can we clarify the truth to them? Some practitioners worry that society is all messed up, and it's difficult to tell the good from the bad, so it is much safer to be among the practitioners. Actually for us Dafa practitioners, we conduct everyday business in everyday society. If we maintain our xinxing (mind nature) and keep in mind "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance," we should not run into any problems. Putting it in another way, Dafa practitioners are tempered steel, and when iron and steel are mixed together, the steel can't possibly become iron. If the steel changes to iron, then isn't it because the steel was defective to begin with?

Fa-rectification has reached a very crucial period of time. As Dafa practitioners, we should be more active in clarifying the truth to everyday people and redouble our contact with them, rather than stay away from or become indifferent towards society. In this way, we can maximize the effect of our undertaking to save sentient beings.
