I am a Dafa practitioner from Tainan City, Taiwan who has been practicing for over a year. Today, I am going to report on how Falun Dafa saved me from the pit of hell, how it has changed me into a human being, a good person, and furthermore, a cultivator.

When I was a teenager, I joined a gang. I was a hostile and aggressive person. If I had a disagreement with someone, even over a single word, I would use a knife or gun to try to kill and maim people. I was sentenced to jail for killing a person. After the sentence term expired, I continued down this "dark path" of life and began to do business involving intercepting and kidnapping. I never thought to consider the purpose of life. I only thought about how to drink to get drunk if I had alcohol and how to make enough money through malicious means so that I could spend the rest of my 40 years eating, drinking, whoring, gambling, shooting and killing. Last year, after drinking at a friend's house, I was speeding in a car and hit a tree on the side of the road. I lost consciousness upon impact. The passenger sent me to the emergency room. Two hospitals actually refused to take me because they thought there was no hope of saving me. At last, it was the Xinlou hospital that dragged me back from the brink of death.

After over a month, I was able to leave the hospital, but never fully recovered from the car crash. I was no longer the strong big brother on the "dark path." I became burdened with all sorts of pains and health problems and living really became worse than death.

One day, a friend introduced me to the practice of Falun Gong and suggested that I read Zhuan Falun. I came to the fifth page of Zhuan Falun where it read: "One should return to one's original, true self; this is the real purpose of being human." Upon seeing the three words "Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance," there was a roar in my brain. The words "return to one's original, true self" were especially familiar to me. I finally understood that the purpose of coming to this world is not for eating, drinking, playing, and scrambling for power and profit. My past behavior was so far removed from the universal principles! So I started to want to cultivate.

However, cultivation is not simple. My former brothers from the dark path, the environment of the black market, and my bad habits of eating, drinking, whoring and gambling all kept me from the standards of a cultivator. Sometimes my friends still invited me to go gambling and dancing. Yet now, every time I went to gamble, I would always end up losing badly. Every time I went out dancing, a severe headache would begin when I arrived at the nightclub door. Finally I could neither go gambling nor go to nightclubs and finally enlightened that it was Master that did not want me to get close to those places. He wanted me to be a good cultivator. I started to rid myself of bad habits such as smoking, drinking, gambling, and all the others.

I used to treat my home like a hotel. My children could hardly see me because I was only coming and going. Now I work hard to make up for the harm I caused my children and my family and to be a responsible father. I got rid of the bad people I kept as company and stay far away from my brothers in the black market. I no longer do anything that is harmful to society and have become a person who abides by the law, a good person, and a better person. Now I am an honest businessman and a healthy person with a harmonious family.

It is not an easy task to change a bad person who did so many evil things. It is Falun Dafa that has given me a brand new life. If not for Master Li, who made me understand the principle of returning to one's original, true self, I might still be part of that dark world, committing sins. I might have already died on the street. I sincerely thank Dafa for giving me a new life. I have started to introduce Dafa to all the different levels of people that I come in contact with. People have noticed the complete and thorough changes in me; some have given Dafa their positive support and some have also started to practice Falun Gong.

Actually, people do evil things without any concern only because they do not understand what their true self is, let alone what the principles of the universe are. The changes in me are evidence of how Falun Dafa can change a person from the very nature of his being. Now, in the entire world, there is only the dictator Jiang and his political gang who do not want people to be good people and who persecute Dafa with vicious means. That is the true evil.
