[Shandong Province] The Appalling Treatment of Wang Lixuan and Her Family

Wang Guihai lives in Nanhenggou Village, Qixiasikou Town, Yantai City, Shandong Province. He and his wife, Li Xiuxiang, their eldest daughter, Wang Lixuan (university graduate) and her one-year-old son, the second daughter, Wang Lihui (a student in Yantai University who was dismissed by his school), and the son, Wang Xuchao (a university student who was dismissed by his school), were persecuted because of their firm belief in Falun Dafa and they went to Beijing to validate Dafa several times.

The eldest daughter, Wang Lixuan, and her son were tortured to death in Beijing. (for details, see http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/5/6/9304.html) The town government sent Wang Guihai, Li Xiuxiang and Wang Lihui to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for a three-year term. The son, Wang Xuchao is destitute and his whereabouts are not known. A happy family is broken up like this!

[Liaoning Province] A Practitioner Who Was Previously a Spy is Now Detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Dafa practitioner Peng Geng, male, over 30 years old was a spy in the state's special army. After April 25 1999, he was ordered by the government to disguise himself as a Falun Gong practitioner in order to monitor and report the activities of Falun Gong practitioners. Upon investigation, he discovered that Falun Gong is a good cultivation school that benefits the country and the people. He decided to become a genuine Falun Gong practitioner. After July 20, 1999, he went to appeal and was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp. After the Tiananmen Self-Immolation incident, he realized that it was a ploy set up by the government to defame Falun Gong. He escaped from the camp to go to Beijing and clarify the truth. Later, he was caught and sent back to Masanjia Labor Camp.

[Shandong Province] Wangcun Forced Labor Camp Throws Dafa Practitioners into an Electrified Water Dungeon

In January 2002, 15 to 18 Dafa practitioners were sent to Wangcun Labor Camp at Zibo City. They came from Jinan brainwashing class. Since the practitioners were not reformed, they were thrown into an electrified water dungeon. The electricity was kept on for one day in order to force the practitioners to give up their faith. [Hunan Province] Xinkaipu Labor Camp Sends Healthy Dafa Practitioners into a Mental Hospital

In November 2001, Dafa practitioner, Kuang Daijie, was detained in Changsha Xinkaipu Labor Camp. He was a firm cultivator and he was unshakable. In order to reform him, the labor camp labeled him as a "psychopath". The supervisor of Team 11, Yuan XX, and vicious policemen sent Kuang to a mental hospital by force. The doctors in that hospital collude with policemen, so they also stated that Falun Gong caused Kuang Daijie to become psychotic.

[Sichuan Province] SEC of Xinjing County Yang Shizhang Orders the Torture of a 60-year-Old Female Practitioner

Dafa practitioner, Li Guangyan, is from Xinjing County, Chendu City. In December, she went to the office of Yang Shizhang, the deputy SEC and Politics and Law Committee president. She appealed for the release of the detained practitioners and she appealed against the unfair practice of her work unit of deducting money from her pension. She reminded him, "Good is met with good rewards and bad is met with bad retributions." Yang was furious and he phoned the police, pretending that Li beleaguered him. When the police came, he said, "Throw her in jail!" Li was detained in the Wujing police station. The condition is very bad in the jail. The room is only four square meters and there is no sunlight. There is only a small opening that is only 0.15 meters wide. The cell is kept locked. There is no proper sanitation (both urine and excrement are passed inside the cell). Li Guangyan was given the leftover food of the policemen. It is believed that she is being tortured.

[Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Hold a Hunger Strike for Over One Hundred Days

It is said that a Dafa practitioner, Lu Xiuyun, from Daqing went on a hunger strike for over 50 days in the Daqing detention center and was force fed by police. The cruel torture almost killed her. She was sent to the hospital and now she is back at home.

Another practitioner, Xiao Ailing, has been on a hunger strike for over 110 days. Because of a news blockage, her situation is not known.

[Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Validates Falun Gong in a Court of Law

The police of Dongyue sub-division arrested a female practitioner from Shiyan City, Hubei Province while she was clarifying the truth to people. She was sentenced to three years imprisonment by police, prosecutors and law departments. Two other practitioners were sentenced at the same time. In the courtroom, there were no other witnesses except the police, prosecutor, lawyers and Dafa practitioners who were interrogated. During the trial, this practitioner continued to clarify the truth and safeguard Dafa with righteous thoughts. She shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is treated unjustly!" "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" She sat in the lotus position and held her right hand in front of her chest to send out righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil; she did not listen to any of the orders of the people in the court.

[Northeastern China] People in a Forced Labor Camp in Northeastern China Are Awakening

Through the joint efforts of Falun Dafa practitioners, many people in a forced labor camp in Northeastern China have changed their attitude toward Dafa. Some team leaders now do not allow any criminal to beat or curse the practitioners. A policeman shed tears when looking at the thin body of a practitioner who has been on a hunger strike for several days. Some cell leaders have asked Dafa practitioners to teach them the fifth set of exercises.

[Zizhong County, Sichuan Province] The Criminal Activities of Zhang Xiaofang and Other Vicious Police Who Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Nanmusi Female Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County

In the Nanmusi Female Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, the head of Team 7, Zhang Xiaofang (female), has resorted to all kinds of vicious means to torture Dafa practitioners. She always curses the practitioners with the foulest, dirtiest language, and uses implements to torture practitioners. She once shocked Ma Qingchun with an electric baton. While shocking her, she roared, "Those who are going to sue us through Minghui.Net -- see how I beat Falun Gong practitioners! Go ahead and sue me. See if you can!" Because the team leader behaves in this manner, the other police officers are also excessively brutal. Zhang Shiqing, a Dafa practitioner over 50 years old, did not want to watch a TV program defaming Dafa. As a result, a police officer with the last name of Zhang brutally beat her, slapped her face, grabbed her hair and rammed her head against the wall. He kicked her violently, and she fell on the ground. Even as she struggled to stand up, Zhang ran up to her, and in a frenzy, kicked her and cursed her repeatedly. On one occasion, because Ma Qingchun refused to listen to an article slandering Dafa, five or six policemen, including a police officer whose last name is Huang, pushed and scratched her and even seized her by the throat to prevent her from talking. They held her on the ground, handcuffed her from behind on a trunk, and stuffed her mouth with a cloth. Dafa practitioners were frequently beaten almost to death, and then were dragged across the ground by two vicious policemen who grabbed their hands and ran around very fast. The practitioners' skin was torn and their flesh gaped open from abrasions against the ground. Ma Qingchun was once dragged from the third floor down to the first floor. Yang Taiying was also dragged in such way and was beaten many times by Policeman Zhang. The police also continuously encourage the detained criminals to cruelly torture Dafa practitioners. They tried to brainwash those practitioners who refused to go against Dafa. They forced Dafa practitioners to stand from morning to midnight every day, and as a result practitioners could not put their shoes on because their feet were so swollen. Practitioners were not allowed to go to bathroom when they needed to, and neither were they allowed to take a shower. The police frequently beat and cursed the practitioners for no reason. A policeman whose name is Zhou Junhui even claimed, "As long as you are not transformed [meaning, as long as you remain steadfast in your belief in Dafa], you must sit for one day and stand for another three days. Don't expect to walk out of this labor camp alive."

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] What I Have Seen and Heard in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp of Harbin City

In April of 2001, I was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City. The following is what I saw and heard there:

In this prison, a leader of the criminal inmates always found excuses to beat Dafa practitioners.

At the labor camp, all Dafa practitioners were forced to work together with the criminals every morning. The designated heads of the criminal inmates patrolled the workers, back and forth, with a whip. If they saw Dafa practitioners working too slowly, they would beat them immediately. The sanitary conditions were very poor. The practitioners were not allowed to wash, except for taking a "shower" [ten basins of cold water were poured on them] once every week. The rest of the time, they hardly had any access to water. Practitioners' lives were tedious. They were forced to sit on a chair with both hands behind them except when eating, sleeping or going to bathroom. The meals were also very bad. They had corn gruel and salted vegetables for breakfast and dinner, steamed corn buns and soup with a little vegetable for lunch. They could have only a little for each meal, and the three meals together added up to only one meal per person. They were not allowed to drink water. The police in the labor camp said, "If we give you enough food to eat, you will start to get ideas." Even worse, the criminal cell leaders forcibly took away the food that the practitioners' family members sent them. The guards also participated in such behavior.

[Qingdao City, Shandong Province] An "Accomplice" in Qingdao City's Brainwashing Class Is Awakening

During the Spring Festival, the vicious brainwashing class in the Qingdao School for the Blind force-fed the steadfast practitioners who were on a hunger strike, and didn't allow them to go back home to celebrate the festival. In addition, if practitioners refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa, the vicious officials would punish the everyday people who were assigned to work as accomplices in the brainwashing class. They used this method to force the steadfast practitioners to sign the "three statements" [Falun Gong practitioners are forced to write three statements: repentance statement, guarantee statement and criticizing statement under great pressure and physical torture, to give up their beliefs and slander Falun Gong].

After coming out of the brainwashing class, one person who had worked as an accomplice found a Dafa practitioner and asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun to read. She said that she would never again work in the brainwashing class because it was so brutal and vicious. She also said that she would read Zhuan Falun so she could learn about Falun Gong.

[Qixia City, Shandong Province] A Falun Dafa Practitioner from Qixia City of Yantai, Shandong Province Is Forced to Live in Exile in Order to Avoid Further Persecution

Zeng Yongfan, female, 51 years old, is an employee of Qixia City's Power Industry Bureau in Yantai, Shandong Province. In the past she suffered from serious diabetes, and paid approximately 10,000 Yuan in medical expenses every year [the average urban worker's monthly salary is approximately 500 Yuan]. After practicing Falun Dafa, she recovered completely, and therefore saved a lot of medical expenses for her work unit. In 1999, Zeng Yonfan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. On her way to Beijing, the police confiscated all her money and belongings. Before New Year's Day of 2000, she went to Beijing again to appeal, and her whereabouts have been unknown since then. In Qixia, many Falun Dafa practitioners have been forced to leave home and must move from place to place to avoid arrest .

[Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Strongly Protest the Illegal Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioners by 854 Farm's Police Department

On the night of Feburary 12, 2002, a few officials from 854 Farm's Police Department in Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province, plotted to illegally arrest several Dafa practitioners as well as a driver in the Tuanshan area. Several days have passed since these arrests, yet they haven't informed the practitioners' families. Many people have asked everywhere about their family members' whereabouts. We call on all kindhearted people to pay attention to this case. Meanwhile, we'll continue to lodge appeals to the related departments.

[Mishan, Heilongjiang Province] 64-Year-Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Shixiang was Persecuted by the Political Security Section of Mishan Police Department

When 64-year-old Wang Shixiang went to Beijing to appeal the unjust treatment of Falun Gong, he was arrested by the Beijing Police Department. On January 28, 2000, Wang was escorted home by Meng Qingqi and Du Yongshan of the political security section of Mishan Police Department. Wang and Wang's work unit were required to pay their airfare and any incidentals for the trip to Beijing. Wang's children paid 4000 Yuan (the average monthly income of an urban worker is only 500 Yuan) and Wang's work unit paid 3800 Yuan. Then Wang was sent to Jixi Custodial Center and a brainwashing class. Nine months later, Meng Qingqi, Du Yongshan and others extorted about 1500 Yuan in cash and other valuable items. These people placed this extorted money and property into their own pockets. They did not release Wang Shixiang until his family paid another 3000 Yuan for a guarantee deposit. The deposit was promising that he would not go to Beijing again. Four months later, in March 2001, Meng used the excuse that Wang was still practicing Falun Gong and arrested him again. He was held in Mishan Detention Center and thrown into the forced labor camp on April 28.

In Jixi Forced Labor Camp, Wang has received inhumane treatment. He has often been beaten and harrassed. Frequently he has been made to soil himself. Vicious policemen Lin Yongjun and Zhang Guohua beat and cursed him the most. When Wang was on a hunger strike, he was force-fed by a prison doctor, who inserted tubes into his nose that resulted in severe bleeding. This man is now gaunt and in poor physical condition due to loss of weight. Because he refuses to cooperate with the evil, the vicious policeman Huang Yelin also beats and curses him all the time.

[Shiyan, Hubei Province] The Extended Torture of Female Practitioners in Maojian District Brainwashing Class

Zhu Xirong is 47-years-old. She returned home from Maojian District Brainwashing Class on August 24, 2001 as the result of the efforts of many people. On September 29, 2001, Zhu was again forcibly sent to a brainwashing class by Liu Hua from the Wudang Road Police Station and Director Zhang Youyu of the Wudang Road Neighborhood Administration Office. At 9:00 AM on October 23rd, while sending forth righteous thoughts, Zhu was spotted by Mei Fang, who approached her and slapped her on both cheeks. Then Zhu Xirong was dragged outside by others who had come into the room. Liao Dafu handcuffed her in the posture of "carrying the sword" (that is, with both arms twisted behind the back, one from above the shoulder and the other from below). Zhu Jie, a female administrator form the court, took Zhu Xirong to the exercise yard to stand for her punishment. Others were called over to brainwash her. At that moment Zhu Xirong had only one thought in her mind: Never give in, even if both arms are broken. After Zhu Xirong had twice passed out, and under the strong demand of fellow practitioners, Zhu Xirong was returned to her room by 11:00 AM. Her wrists had swollen to twice their normal size. On October 24, Zhu and three others in her room were deprived of food until after noon. In the afternoon an administrator, Zi Xiaojun, took Fu Tiejun (an employee of the Bureau of Finance) out of the room for a hand-recorded interrogation. As soon as Fu stepped out of the room, she was dragged by her hair to another building. When Fu Tiejun was returned to the room at 1:00 AM, her roommates couldn't even recognize her. She had bruises all over her body. Practitioners in her room went on a hunger strike immediately. On November 14, Zhu Xirong was sent to Maojian Hospital and forcibly given an injection. She was sent home after her work unit assumed responsibility for her.

[Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Female Practitioner Liu Guijin was Brutally Tortured in the Political Security Section of Yutian County Police Department

Dafa practitioner Liu Guijin was abducted by the police on August 20, 2001. On August 24, she was sent to Yutian County Detention Center by Tangshan Road Northern Police Department. On September 3, the guards took Liu to the administration room. There were five or six people in the room. One of them who seemed to be an official asked Liu if she was going to continue practicing Falun Gong. Liu answered, "Yes." He immediately hit Liu's face. The next morning, Liu was taken to the political security section of Yutian County Police Department. Her two hands were handcuffed to a steel chair. Sadistic police officers then used electric batons to continuously apply electric shocks from her waist to the top of her head. Liu was tortured for over two hours, until both of her legs lost feeling, her heart problem was triggered, and she passed out. When she was sent back to the detention center, both her face and neck were swollen, and clotted blood filled her mouth. In the afternoon, personnel from the political security section intended to continue to torture her. It didn't take place as the detention center worried she might die. The next morning, Liu felt cold all over her body, and her blood pressure was only 40. She was sent to the county hospital's emergency room for treatment. Two days later, personnel from the political security section decreed, "Let her die in Tangshan City." So on September 10, Liu Guijin was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Tangshan City. She wasn't able to get out of bed for three days. Then she was chained to a steel chair for seven days. Not long after that, she was sent to the labor camp. Three days after she got to the labor camp, she wrote a "statement of guarantee" (giving up practicing Falun Gong). Later she realized that writing this "statement of guarantee" was wrong and declared it void. She was punished by being forced to stand for over twelve days.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners Escalated in Nong'an County

Just before New Year's Day, the "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) of Nong'an County carried out orders from Jiang and Luo to start a new round of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. The "610 Office" stationed hired thugs and the unemployed in various places to catch Dafa practitioners, tear away Dafa posters, and paint over Dafa slogans. Over 20 Dafa practitioners were arrested and are currently being held in Nong'an County Dongdaqiao Detention Center. Their family members are denied visits, and any information about these practitioners has been tightly blocked. Meanwhile these practitioners have received inhuman treatment. Teacher Wang in Wanshun Township gave a lesson of "Falun Dafa Is Good" to his students before the holiday and was thus deprived of his job. Dafa practitioners Old Tong and Sun Xiuying were arrested for hanging up Dafa banners. Police claim that they are facing 3-year forced labor terms.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Cao Yali in Nong'an County Kidnapped by Police

On the night of January 24, 2001, a dozen or so police officers from Changchun City Police Department forcibly entered Falun Dafa practitioner Cao Yali's home and arrested her. The whereabouts of Cao Yali are not known at present.

[Yantai City, Shandong Province] Unjust Detention on Criminal Charges of Two Female Students in Yantai Finance School Gao Meifeng and Zhu Xin

Gao Meifeng and Zhu Xin, students of Yantai Finance School have been placed in Yantai Criminal Detention Center by the Yantai "610 Office" since November 11, 2001. Their determination to practice Falun Dafa has not been shaken. It's been over three months since their unjust arrest, and we hope that government organizations and kindhearted people around the world pay attention to these two students and offer help in rescuing them.

[Beijing] Vicious Policeman Threatens Family and Relatives of Falun Dafa Practitioner Being Persecuted

After a Falun Dafa practitioner was forced to leave his home due to police harassment, vicious policemen often visited his family in search of his whereabouts. Members of the local neighborhood watch team have been stationed around his home for close surveillance. All his relatives' homes were searched one by one as well. Since the police haven't been able to catch the practitioner, a vicious policeman time and again came to threaten the family members of this practitioner, "If he still doesn't come back home, we will rescind his residential certificate. If he doesn't come back by the time of relocating, your family will receive no compensation at all." This policeman also went to the home of one of the practitioner's relatives and threatened, "If you don't help to find him, there is no chance your son's fiancéI can have her residential certificate issued from the police station when she gets married." (According to the residential certificate system, an urban residential certificate is the legal paper that guarantees one's right to live in the city, and the residential right in Beijing is all the more difficult to acquire.)

The policeman also said, "If a single practitioner from our jurisdiction shows up on Tiananmen Square, the chief of our police station will be stripped of his rank completely." In order to hold onto his position, the chief has urged his police officers to round up any practitioners who had been forced out of their homes.

Around noon on February 9, 2002, He Zongxian from the Nongfeng County Police Substation, Shuangchen City, Heilongjiang Province, field policeman Li Changjin, Fu Zhengbo, and Zhang Shiyang illegally broke into Dafa practitioner Liu Yanqing's home. They arrested three Dafa practitioners Pan Zhifeng, Zhao Xia, and Liu Yanqing's wife, Geng Yafeng, who were writing Spring Festival couplets. They handcuffed the practitioners and brought them to the Nongfeng County Police Substation for illegal interrogation.
