(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 1999, the police station of Pindu City, Yushan Town, Shandong Province began a harsh and large-scale persecution of local Falun Gong practitioners. In order to force practitioners to abandon their practices and beliefs, the police have repeatedly and illegally detained, heavily fined, searched and confiscated practitioners' homes and personal property, beat, tortured, and generally harassed practitioners. Before the Chinese New Year of year 2002, Yushan Town Police Station began another large-scale attack. Policemen were divided into different groups and set off simultaneously. They drove big trucks to practitioners' houses. Once they arrived, the policemen would confiscate all Dafa books, truth clarifying material, and different articles. Seventeen practitioners' houses were searched and property confiscated.

In the afternoon of February 2, 2002, the police stole the many years' savings of Jiang Guangbo, his 25-inch color TV and 250 kilos of peanuts. Police also confiscated Wang Huanyu's wagon (three-wheeler with a cart attached to the back, used to transport produce). On the morning of February 4, they confiscated a cassette recorder, a tractor and a small go-cart from Qi Zhihong's house. They also took Che Yuzhi's color TV, cassette recorder, refrigerator and VCD player. Qi's son asked them to make a list of the items that they had taken. On the morning of February 5, they plundered a TV, a VCD player and a cassette recorder from Li Yufeng's house. Despite the begging and pleading from an old sick person, they still took the TV, bicycle, and sewing machine from Li Meijuan's house. Before they left, they had threatened to return on February 9 (before Chinese New Year), and if there were no other valuables they would remove the front door. Police made no lists of the confiscated articles. When some practitioners left their homes for a few days, the police came everyday to disturb the village. There was a practitioner whose reserves had been exhausted by the police. There was nothing left in the house, but before leaving the police even took the small porcelain pot that had been used as a spittoon. Their selfishness could not be more transparent.

People are always looking forward to being reunited with family and friends and having a warm, festive holiday. However, before the New Year, Yan Shan Police ransacked the few belongings practitioners owned, forced them to leave their homes and harassed their families. How would practitioners and their families spend the New Year? What do the days after the New Year hold for them?

The above story is only what happened in an ordinary city and county, and similar incidents are occurring repeatedly in other areas. Three months ago, Dafa practitioner Li Jingdong from the same county had gone to Beijing to appeal. He was caught and sent back. He died after being brutally tortured for 20 days. Afraid to demand redress for their deceased loved one, his relatives had to restrain their indignation and quietly claim his corpse. The tyranny is truly rampant and out of control!

We ask all the kind people from around the world to help stop the insane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. At the same time, we sincerely hope Dafa practitioners' families will demand justice for their relatives, make use of legal means to protect our rights and not give any chance to the evil to heighten the persecution.
