Friends of Falun Gong's Statement Concerning Zhao Ming

Friends of Falun Gong wishes to express our gratitude on behalf of Zhao Ming to the Irish government, the students of Trinity College, and kind-hearted people around the world. Their hard work and commitment brought about his long-awaited release, after enduring two years of torture at the hands of the cowardly Jiang Zemin regime. We look forward to his full recovery and applaud his steadfast heart.

Zhao Ming, like Dr. Chunyan Teng and the tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners who have been suffering in anonymity, should never have been incarcerated in the first place. Their persecution violates China's signed agreements to uphold human rights and China's own constitution. We demand that the Jiang Zemin regime immediately and unconditionally release all Falun Gong practitioners from its "re-education" centers, labor camps, prisons and psychiatric institutes. We ask that all nations speak out on behalf of these victims of China's relentless and brutal persecution, and condemn China's abhorrent Human Rights record at the UN Conference on Human Rights in Geneva.

Friends of Falun Gong seeks in particular to free the Falun Gong prisoners of conscience in the People's Republic of China and to end the persecution there. To this end, FoFG intends to obtain broad support for this cause, and to raise international awareness about the rights violations in the persecution of Falun Gong.
