(Clearwisdom.net) Zhou Shifen, female, 56, and employed at Yilan Rubber Manufactory, was illegally detained for 7 days in March 2000. She protested her detention with hunger strikes. The county police department extorted 3,700 Yuan from her. Those responsible are Zhang Huanyou and Fei Hong. On June 5, 2000, She went to Beijing to appeal, but was illegally arrested on the way in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Afterwards she was detained for 2 months, during which she held hunger strikes 3 times and was force-fed once. Subsequently, the county police and the local police extorted 1000 Yuan and 700 Yuan from her respectively. The primary person responsible for the extortion is Zhang Huanyou.

Zuo Zhenqi, male, 47, resides in Sandaogang, Yilan County. On June 20, 2000, he was illegally detained for 68 days in the second detention center in Yilan County. The wardens directed the prisoners to beat him, and they also extorted 2,400 Yuan from him. The primary person responsible is Zhang Huanyou. On January 4, 2001, he went to appeal in Beijing. After he was arrested and sent to Yilan, he was sentenced to 1 year in a labor camp without due process. On arrival at the labor camp, he had 20 basins of cold water poured on him. His luggage was rummaged through several times, and the soap and laundry powder he brought were taken. The 50 Yuan he had with him was also confiscated by the person in charge named Li. The local secretary of the party extorted another 9,000 Yuan off him. The responsible person is Zhan Jincheng.

Tan Fenghua, female, 51, resides in Yinglan District, Yilan County. On January 17, 2000, she was arrested for going to appeal in Beijing and detained for 4 days in the liaison office for Yilan in Beijing, where a man surnamed Cheng extorted 500 Yuan from her. Later she was extorted 1,500 Yuan by the police at Yinglan District and illegally detained for 32 days. She was not released until her family paid another 3,000 Yuan.

Fan Shuyun, female, 43, resides in Yilan Town. Because she practiced Falun Gong in front of the commerce building, Fan was apprehended and detained at the police department. She refused to give up her belief even under pressure, so they illegally sent her to the county's second detention center where the wardens illegally body-searched and abused her. After she was detained for 5 days, her family was extorted 3,000 Yuan for her release. In November 2001 Fan and another practitioner were arrested again for clarifying the truth of Dafa to the public. She was detained for 10 days and extorted 650 Yuan by the police. The primary people responsible are Zhang Huanyou and Fei Hong.

Zhang Yuxiang, female, 63, resides in Sandaogang Town of Yilan County. On May 20, 2000, she was arrested for practicing Falun Gong outside and sent to the second detention center of the county. During her detention, she was subjected to body searches and abuse by the warden. Four days later, she was released after the police department extorted 3,000 Yuan from her family. The responsible person is Zhang Huanyou. On January 2, 2001, she was taken into custody in the meeting room of the town government for 2 days, during which she was deprived of any food or water. Finally, she was out on bail after her family members signed a guarantee.

Chen Shuping, female, 57, resides in Sandaogang Town of Yilan. During the spring festival of 2000, she went to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing, and was arrested and taken back by the Yilan police. Her family had to give 2,000 Yuan to the head of the police department for her release. A few days later, the police went to search her house and forcibly confiscated her book Zhuan Falun and some other audio material. They also fined her 3,000 Yuan. On May 20, 2000, she was sent to the second detention center for practicing Falun Gong exercise outside. She was detained for over 20 days and extorted 1000 Yuan for her release. On January 2, 2001, she was brought to a brainwashing class in the meeting room of the town's government, where she was detained for 2 days. She was warned that she would be fined 5,000 Yuan if she should leave. In the end her family members had to sign a guarantee to bail her out. The responsible person is Zhang Huanyou.

Wei Xiulan, female, 45, resides in Sandaogang of Yilan County. During the spring festival of 2000, she planned to go to Beijing for appeal, but this was found out by the local police station. They sent her to the county second detention center, where she was detained for half a month, and they extorted 3,500 Yuan before she was released. On January 2, 2001, Wei was forcibly taken to a brainwashing class when she was doing house chores. In the evening she was locked up in the meeting room, where she spent 2 days and 1 night. The person in charge of the town government warned her that she would be fined 5,000 Yuan if she went to Beijing again. She was not set free until her family members signed the guarantee.

Zhao Yinchao, female, 73, resides in Yilan Town. Because she participated in group practice during the spring festival of 2000, she was arrested and put into the county's second detention center, and illegally detained for 6 days. During which she went on a hunger strike for 5 days. She was not released until the police extorted 3,700 Yuan from her family. The primary people responsible are Zhao Shijing and Zhang Huanyou.

Wei Lili, female, 26, resides in Sandaogang, Yilan County. During the spring festival of 2000, she was arrested and put in Yilan's Second Detention Center where she was detained for 20 days. During the detention, she was kicked by Zheng Jun, the head of the detention center. Then she was extorted 3,400 Yuan by Zhang Huanyou for her release. On January 2, 2001, the local police tricked her into going to the police station and detained her for several hours.

Lu Fengyun, female, 54, resides in Sandaogang Town of Yilan County. On January 3, 2000 (Chinese lunar calendar), she was illegally detained for a month for going to validate the Fa in Beijing. At the detention center, she was once tortured out in the winter cold, and had cold water poured on her. She was extorted 3,200 Yuan by the Yilan Police Department. The responsible person is Zhang Huanyou. On May 20, 2000, she was arrested again for practicing Falun Gong outdoors. Then she was illegally detained for two and half months. The wardens of the detention center often put her under the summer sun for hours. Because she practiced Falun Gong in the detention center, she was sprayed with water all over. During her hunger strike, she was forced to take injections and brutally force-fed. The responsible person is Zhang Huanyou. On January 2, 2001, she was tricked into going to the meeting room at the town's government, where she was detained for 2 days. On January 5, she was sent to Yilan's Second Detention Center and detained for 6 months. During the detention, she was often abused by the vice head Lin Zhong and other policemen. After 6 days of hunger strike, she was forced-fed with 2 bottles of high concentration saline solution (the responsible person is Zhang Huanyou).

Wang Li, female, 35, employed at the Dongfeng Mine, Qitaihe City was illegally arrested for going to appeal in Beijing at the end of 1999. She was first imprisoned in Qitaihe for 4 days, and then transferred to the Second Detention Center in Qitaihe where she was imprisoned for 3 months. She was extorted 3,000 Yuan during her detention.

Wang Liqing, female, is 58 years old. She was extorted 600 Yuan by the police department of the Mining Administration Bureau. Later, Wang Aimin, the security officer at the mine also extorted 100 Yuan from her.

Wang Pingzhong, male, 53, employed at the Dongfeng Mine in Qitaihe City, was illegally detained in the detention center of the Mine Administration Bureau. Wang Aimin and the police department extorted 100 Yuan and 600 Yuan from him, respectively.

Chen Xiuqin, female, 53, employed at the Dongfeng Mine in Qitaihe, was extorted 200 Yuan in June 2000, by the police department at the mine. The responsible person is Sun Yulong.

Li Xinchun, female, 39, employed at the Dongfeng Mine in Qitaihe, was extorted 600 Yuan on May 16, 2000 and 200 Yuan again in June by the security office at the mine. The responsible person is Sun Yulong.

Wang Xinrong, female, 46, workplace: Qitaihegang Railroad Station. Because she went to appeal in Beijing, the police arrested her husband and detained him. They extorted 1,500 Yuan from the family. In August and September 2000, the police again extorted 3,500 Yuan and 500 Yuan from them. The responsible people are Li Zhi (the head of the police station) and Ye Chengchun (the person who took the money).

Men Guiying, female, 51, workplace: Boli County Mine. On August 11, 2000, Dongfeng Police Station forced her to pay 2,000 Yuan. Due to her impoverished circumstance, she could only managed 560 Yuan and had to mortgage her house. The responsible person is Li Zhi (the head of police station).

Dong Xiuhua, female, 38, workplace: 5th pit of Dongfeng Mine, Qitaihe City. In July 2000, the administration office of her residence district (Gangyaogou) extorted 2000 Yuan from her. The responsible person is Lang Xue.

Rui Yuqin, female, 59, workplace: Qitaihegang Railway Station. The Gangyaogou district administration office extorted 2,000 Yuan from her in July 2000. The responsible person is Lang Xue.

Mu Guifen, female, 36, workplace: Qitaihegang Railway Station. The Gangyaogou district administration office extorted 2000 Yuan from her in July 2000. The responsible person is Lang Xue.
