1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Kaiping Forced Labor Camp Force Feeds Practitioners with Feces

Several female practitioners in Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City went on a hunger strike to protest their mistreatment. They were beaten up and force-fed with water containing feces. The perpetrators forced them to look at the maggots swimming in the liquid. One practitioner resisted, so she was hung up by the handcuffs which restrained her arms behind her back and denied sleep until midnight every night without a blanket or comforter.

Practitioner Han Junmiao was brutally tortured for protesting illegal imprisonment and mistreatment. The labor camp officials cuffed Han outside for a week. In the daytime, Han was standing under the burning sun, while at night, Han was repeatedly bitten by mosquitoes.

An official from center government's Judicial Department came to inspect the female prisoners in Kaiping after June 12, 2001. The labor camp was told by the official that they were not doing a thorough and effective job with Falun Gong practitioners. Since then, the labor camp has started to rampantly torture practitioners.

2. [Guangdong Province] Female Practitioner Tian Yulan Is Tortured to Death

At midnight on June 3, 2001, several police broke into practitioner Tian Yulan's home and took her to a so called "Law Study Class" which in fact was an anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. Another two practitioners were also arrested. The brainwashing class was held by Guangdong Province Worker's Union and the Department of Politics and Justice. Practitioners were sent in groups one after another to attend the forced brainwashing class. Each class lasted for twelve days. If a practitioner would not give up his belief in Falun Gong after one class, he was forced to stay for up to three months. If he still did not renounce Falun Gong, he would be sent for "re-education" in a forced labor camp. We do not know what the police did to Tian Yulan in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. She was mentally unstable after only a few days of the twelve-day-long brainwashing class. The police sent her home, trying to escape responsibility for her health. Once she returned home, her husband did some things in cooperation with the evil, further persecuting her. On June 16, no longer herself, Tian Yulan jumped from the third floor of her home and died. Her workplace claimed that she died because of practicing Falun Gong. We want to ask: In six years of practicing Falun Gong, she never had any problem or accident. Why did this happen only after she was sent to the Sanshui brainwashing class? There is no explanation other than the authorities persecuted her and that led to her death.

An official from the "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.) in Guangdong Province threatened Tian's children, "Do not sue her workplace; otherwise, you will be arrested." Later, the workplace gave her children 20,000 Yuan, and the case was left unsettled. Her children had nowhere to turn to seek justice for themselves or for their mother.

Note: Because of the practitioners' solid righteous thoughts, the anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class, the so-called "Law Study Class" held by Committee of Guangdong Province Worker's Union and Department of Politics and Justice, ended in failure after two classes.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Hewan Forced Labor Camp Savagely Force Feed Practitioners

On January 28, 2002, to eliminate the old forces persecution and defamation of Dafa and practitioners, the practitioners in Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City refused to cooperate with the labor camp. Practitioner Liu Huasong has been on a hunger strike for more than forty days to protest the labor camp's mistreatment of practitioners. The Guards force-fed him more than thirty times. That severely devastated his health. He has a bleeding nose and his esophagus is damaged. (The person in charge of force-feeding is a doctor without a license. He charged thirty Yuan for every force-feeding. Because his skill is very bad, the guards called him the "beast doctor.")

Practitioner Wang Yulin refused to cooperate with authorities during the head-count and forced "squatting down." Policeman Gao Junan (Badge number 4204313) tortured and beat him up in an administration room on the first floor. He suffered bladder incontinence and was crippled.

Practitioner Cai Yi went on a hunger strike to protest the guards' brutality. He was force-fed on the first day of his hunger strike. Criminal inmates were ordered to conduct the force-feeding, not a doctor. The criminals forcefully grabbed his cheeks, pinched his nose and hit him with their fists. They put a handful of scales from a metal pan [in China, many times food is heated using an open flame made of wood or charcoal; this causes the metal to scale or break off in sharp flakes] into his mouth. His lips were cut. Gao Junan ordered the force-feeding.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Shizishan Forced Labor Camp Uses Prisoners Convicted of Drug Offences to Torture Practitioners

Practitioners in Shizishan Forced Labor Camp are suffering from unimaginable torture. Imprisoned criminals supervise them twenty-four hours a day. These criminals were imprisoned for drug offences and are thugs and scoundrels.

No matter what the practitioners are doing, such as having a meal, using the restroom, sleeping, doing hard labor, or even just moving around, their actions are under surveillance. The drug addicts wear red star buttons which represent "the government." The government in the labor camp calls them "surveillance personal" and asks them to directly torture practitioners. These drug addicts work with the most vicious police in the labor camp and use all kinds of despicable methods to mentally and physically torture the practitioners. Practitioners are forced to do hard labor for at least ten hours every day, and forced to stand straight and motionless until the middle of the night, sometimes until dawn. Practitioners are forbidden to speak with each other or to speak to other prisoners. If they do, they face brutal beatings.

Practitioner Qiu Chenyang is often beaten by the drug addicts who monitor him. The guards do nothing to stop it. When higher authorities came to inspect the labor camp, Qiu Chenyang stood up to expose the illegal and brutal treatment toward practitioners in the labor camp. As a result, the "surveillance personal" savagely beat him up. The guards handcuffed him for seven days and nights, and prolonged his prison term by five months. One month later, another head of the guards came to inspect. Qiu Chenyang again stood up to expose the evildoings taking place in the labor camp. The vicious "surveillance personal" stuffed his mouth with a towel. Seven to eight criminals under the instruction of the guards brutally beat him until he was at the edge of death. After the beating, they squeezed him under a bed and then cuffed him for seven days and nights.

Practitioner Tao Jinlong is also often brutally beaten. Guards and "surveillance personal" used electric batons, leather belts and truncheons full of thorns on him. Tao Jinlong went on a hunger strike to protest the torture. They force-fed him as a way of punishment and tortured him without a shred of mercy. He is covered with wounds from head to toe, but he is very determined in his cultivation. He keeps on studying the Fa and doing the exercises every day, resisting the evil forces and validating the Fa.

5. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] The Brainwashing Class Held by "610" Office Has Been Torturing Detained Practitioners for a Long Time

On February 19, 2002, Anxin County "610" Office in Hebei Province held an anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class. In fact, it is much crueler than prison. They use all kinds of methods such as torture or phony "nice treatment" trying to force or deceive illegally detained practitioners into giving up their belief in Falun Gong. They have illegally detained two cadres from County Radio and Television Broadcasting Bureau and County Courthouse respectively for almost ten months (The two cadres were detained because they just answered "yes" when asked if they would practice Falun Gong.). They are locked in a dark room twenty-four hours a day. It is a gloomy and cold room without sunshine or electric light. The male guards gang up on female practitioners and take turns beating them up. The practitioners' agonizing screams penetrate the cold walls and shake everyone's heart. The practitioners always keep a righteous belief in Dafa and face the evil forces with great dignity. They burned the banners that attack and defame teacher and Dafa twice. The persecution is still going on. We call for all kindhearted people to pay attention to these practitioners' situation.

6. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Are Illegally Arrested

On March 3, 2002, practitioners Ma Qingxia (female), Wang Zhongshan, and Xiaoxie (female) from Xiong County, Hebei Province were arrested while distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials in Yishui County, Shandong Province. On March 7, they were escorted back to Xiong County by local police and subjected to further persecution. Ma Qingxia's husband Teng Xiaopin, (He is not a practitioner) was also arrested by local police in the afternoon of March 7.

7. [Gaoyang City, Hebei Province] The Forced Labor Camp Uses Horrifying Torture to Force Practitioners to Give up Their Belief

The forced labor camp in Gaoyang City, Hebei Province is using horrifying torture against Dafa practitioners. For example, they order practitioners to squat and then cuff both their hands to the ground so they cannot move around except when released for having meals and using the toilet. Some practitioners were cuffed like this for 5 days and nights. They also use electric batons to shock practitioners all over their bodies, including their face and hands, causing severe bleeding from the shocks.

This is only considered general torture. The more severe ones include nailing their feet with iron nails and also cuffing the four limbs to the corners of a bed for as long a period as one month. The sight of the practitioners suffering is too horrifying to watch. Practitioners Zhang Junqiao (female) and Tan Xiuying (female) were even force-fed with feces during their hunger strike. It is a gloomy and terrifying place inside the forced labor camp. Practitioners need to wait for permission to eat, sleep and use of the toilet; they are not allowed to speak a word, and have absolutely no human rights.

The above was witnessed and experienced by myself in person.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Weizigou Forced Labor Camp Holds Practitioner Bai Xiaojun After His Term is Due

Bai Xiaojun, male, about 30 years old, has a bachelor's degree and was employed in Northeast Normal University. He went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000, and then was sent back to Changchun City and illegally sentenced to 1 year in a forced labor camp. He keeps a righteous mind and never yields to the evil forces in the forced labor camp. His term was up half a year ago but they have continued to hold him, and until now, he has not been released.

In addition, Bai Xiaojun's mother and brother are firm practitioners too. His brother was illegally sentenced to a forced labor camp and his mother's whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Luchuan County, Guangxi Province] Practitioner Wang Chun Is Missing During the Persecution

Wang Chun lives in Daqiao area, of Luchuan County, Guangxi Province. Last year, he became disabled due to the torture by the Luchuan County Public Security Bureau and Guangzhou City Public Security Bureau. He was sent home and his grandfather took care of him. Due to his righteous mind, he was able to stand up and walk again. During the Chinese Lunar New Year, he was arrested again and tortured in a detention center. After the Chinese Lunar New Year, he and his grandfather (who is more than eighty years old) went missing at the same time, and no one knows of their whereabouts or whether they are dead or alive.

10. [Changfa County] People Plead for Mercy for Punished Dafa Practitioners

On the morning of June 10, 2001, Changtu County Public Security Bureau confiscated the home of Tian Wei and his wife Li Guihong in Weizi Village, Changfa County, because they had been clarifying the facts of Dafa to villagers. They took away Teacher's portrait and exercise music and arrested Tian Wei. Li Guihong was forced to leave her home to avoid arrest, leaving their 7 year-old daughter in the care of her grandmother. The police from the police substation were still not satisfied and they frequently went to the grandmother's home and interfered with her personal life.

One day in September, Li Guihong came back to visit because she missed her daughter and grandmother. On the second day of her visit, the police substation head Zhang Zhongren, and other police came and took her away. Grandmother Tian was so frightened that she fainted. Some people begged for mercy for the practitioners and asked the police to wait until grandmother had regained consciousness. The police cursed viciously, said a lot of bad things against practitioners and stated that whoever asked for mercy for practitioners would be fined or arrested. As a result, a non-practitioner and a practitioner were fined 50 Yuan and 100 Yuan respectively (Chinese currency, the average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan.)

This event showed people the true nature of the local police. Some people had not believed that a government would do something like this, but they were eyewitnesses to the police acting like gangsters and the denial of citizens' right to appeal. The evil action of Jiang's regime makes the land of China full of complaints.

11. [Leting County, Hebei Province] New Chief of Public Security Bureau Persecutes Dafa Practitioners

The head of Leting County Public Security Bureau of Hebei Province came into his position only recently. Instead of seeking justice for people, he tramples the nation's law and persecutes good people. He continues to detain a practitioner who had been held for several months and was supposed to be released, using the excuse that he should follow the orders from a certain leader in the provincial government. At the same time, he arrests practitioners at will and savagely persecutes them; no one is spared as long as they refuse to give up practicing. Practitioners' relatives are required to pay 30 Yuan for each visit to the detained practitioners. We hope that the righteous organizations and people can help us to stop this kind of human right violation.

12. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] The Public Security Bureau Forcefully Sends Dafa Practitioners to Mental Hospital for Persecution

Zhou Rengen, a male in his 50's, lives in Xinchun, Qingyang area. He went to Beijing to appeal at the end of 1999 and was beaten up by 7 to 8 police in Tiananmen. Then he was sent to the local police substation in Wuxi City, where he was interrogated and beaten up again. They also sent him to a mental hospital, force-fed him with drugs and tortured him. After 3 months, he was bailed out by his work unit and family, but was arrested and sent to a mental hospital again in the middle of January, 2002.

Those who were sent to mental hospitals at the end of 1999 also include Xiao Ma (female), Xiao Gao (female), Xiao Kong (male). Xiao Kong is a teacher in Zhongqiao Agriculture Engineering Vocational School, and was sent to Nanjing City Mental Hospital and detained for more than a half year. He was also sent again to the mental hospital in 2001, and detained for several months.

Since February, 2001, the 610 Office and Public Security Bureau in Wuxi City have held anti-Falun Gong brainwashing classes and use dirty means against practitioners. Practitioners are kidnapped or deceived to the police station, detained there overnight to suffer frigid conditions with no food and then sent to the brainwashing classes.

13. Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts Is Very Powerful

One morning, my work unit's Party secretary said to me sternly, "I heard you give out Falun Gong materials to some of the employees. Where do they come from? Can I get some?" I said, "Yes! I will give you some in a moment." Then I left and continued my job. Later I sent forth righteous thought to eliminate the evil elements in the three realms, especially around me, which persecute Dafa and interfere with our truth-clarifying effort. At 2pm in the afternoon, the Party secretary came to me and said cautiously, "No need to give me the materials, I don't want to look at them any more." Right away I felt the great compassion of the Teacher, the power of Dafa and the huge effect of sending forth righteous thoughts; thus the evil's attempt of persecuting me failed.

14. Daqing Petroleum Management Bureau Forcefully Asks For Signature and Entrap Innocent People

During the two conferences (National People's Representatives Conference and Annual Party Conference), in order to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from appealing, the education and training center of Daqing Petroleum Management Bureau had a "sign up to show your stand on Falun Gong" activity. Every employee was required to sign; otherwise their job contracts would be cancelled. This is a severe violation of human rights and people's free will. We hope that practitioners and people with righteous minds pay attention to this, and resist it with determination.
