The persecution of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is the most terrible corruption of basic human nature

My name is Daniel Peter Rintoul. I am twenty-three years old and have been living in Calgary for seventeen years. Before I started practicing Falun Dafa, I had chronic knee problems, as I had injured my knees repeatedly over the course of several years. My knees were very problematic. I would experience several minor, and sometimes even major injuries every five to six months. For the last eleven months I have practiced Falun Dafa and have experienced no considerable problems with my knees. The stigmatism that has bothered me for the last dozen years has virtually disappeared. I no longer experience headaches when not wearing my glasses for an extended period of time.

This practice, Falun Dafa, is a mind-body-spirit cultivation based on the universal characteristic of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. It is practiced in over fifty countries around the world. As have over one hundred million people around the world, I have personally felt the benefit of practicing Falun Dafa.. Furthermore I have experienced a profound spiritual uplifting of my heart and a greater sense of wellbeing.

However, it is not for these things alone that I have decided to appeal for Falun Dafa in China. I have gone to China out of a greater sense of responsibility to my fellow human beings, specifically, for the sake of the many people in China who have been drenched in a campaign of vicious lies and propaganda for over two years. These lies are what the Chinese Communist Party and particularly Jiang Zemin and Lao Gan (the two foremost figures in the persecution) rely on to justify their campaign of brutal violence.

It is the ignorance of the world that Jiang Zemin hopes for. On the contrary, the revelation of the truth to the people of the world, and primarily the people of China is what he fears the most. That is why I have gone to China, to tell the people of China, and the world, that Falun Dafa is good and that the persecution of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is the most terrible corruption of basic human nature the world has ever seen.

I am not going to China for any frivolous reason. I have fully considered the possible consequences of peacefully appealing in China at a time when the persecution has claimed over 360 lives. As a nation dedicated to global peacekeeping, we Canadians consider ourselves to be good people who cannot simply stand by and be silent while the rape, torture and murder of untold numbers of innocent, kindhearted people is happening. My appeal in Tiananmen Square is intended to inspire kindhearted Canadians to stand against this horrible persecution. Join me and help stop Jiang Zeminí s brutal campaign against Falun Dafa.
