UK City of Tamworth Mayor and Chairman of City Council Attend Journey of Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition (Photos)

The Journey of Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition officially opened on March 17 in Tamworth City Hall. Mayor and Council Chair of Tamworth, together with several city council members, visited the exhibition with great interest. A practitioner who had gone back to China to appeal for Falun Gong and had been illegally detained introduced in detail the development of Falun Gong in over 50 countries. He also exposed the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. A 70-years-old UK practitioner talked about the tremendous changes in mind and body that Falun Dafa cultivation has brought to him and the fact that Chinese government refused to issue him a visa because he cultivates Falun Gong. Recently the news that 5 Britons were beaten, illegally detained and eventually forcibly expelled from China had been widely reported in the news media. The criminal act of the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been condemned by the UK government and people.

The city council discussed the resolution condemning the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong last year. The Chinese embassy once sent a person to the city to defame Falun Gong. The precious photos that displayed the Fa rectification process exposed their lies. The Dafa practitioners' pure, benevolent field of righteous thoughts affected all the officials. Before departing, the mayor especially asked for a Falun Gong exercise instruction videotape and expressed a desire to learn the exercise.

More than ten practitioners from central UK participated in the activity. They practiced the exercises outside city hall and distributed Dafa flyers.
