[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Tortured in the
Interrogation Room of the Police Department
The Interrogation Room of the Harbin Police Department is a place where the
police brutally persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The police blindfold
practitioners who are being unjustly held, bringing them to this gruesome place
for inhumane torture. Some practitioners are forced to sit on a "tiger
bench" (Practitioners are forced to sit on a small iron bench that is
approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall. Practitioners' knees are tightly tied on
the small bench - "Tiger Bench." He has to sit straight up with his
eyes looking straight ahead. His hands are tied behind the back or sometimes
placed on his knees. He is not allowed to turn his head, close his eyes, talk to
anyone, raise his hand or call out for the attention of the guards. Many inmates
are assigned to watch the practitioner. If he turns his head, they would force
the practitioner to hold his head in that position indefinitely. If the
practitioner raises his hand to call the attention of the guards when his hands
are placed on his knees, they would force him to hold his hands in the air
indefinitely. If he speaks, they would force his mouth to remain open
indefinitely. Usually some hard objects are inserted underneath the
practitioner's lower legs or ankles to make it more painful for them. See

Some are hung up and beaten and then have their legs scratched with small broken
pieces of glass. Some have been beaten with mops while their heads were covered
with plastic bags. When the mop handle broke, the practitioners were forced to
drink filthy water from the mop bucket. Some were shocked with electric batons,
and some were burned with cigarette butts. Some had their arms twisted behind
their backs, with one arm above the shoulder and the other below in a torture
form called "carrying a sword." The practitioner's hands were then
handcuffed till sometimes the handcuffs cut into the bone. A wooden stick is
then inserted between both arms in the back. Various gruesome torture methods
are too terrible to observe. Overnight, practitioners often passed out due to
the severe torture. Cold water was then poured on them. The cries of those being
tortured and the vicious look of the thugs are the true picture of the so-called
"best period for human rights in China's history" when in fact Jiang's
group widely persecutes innocent people. The evil is afraid of being exposed.
The despicable police officers wiped bloodstains off Dafa practitioners before
sending them back to detention centers so that other cellmates would not know
what had happened.

[Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Facts about the Persecution of Female
Falun Dafa Practitioner Luan Guirong
38-year-old Luan Guirong, female, works at the Jiamusi Jinding Chemical
Company. She lives at the 61st Neighborhood Committee in Yonghong
District. On November 28, 2000, she had 1,000 Yuan extorted from her by Su
Jingfang, the deputy manager of the Jinding Chemical Company, and Gao Yuewu, the
workshop director of the same company (The average monthly salary of an urban
worker is about 500 Yuan). On December 1, 2000, she had 240 Yuan extorted
from her by a police officer from the Xiangyang Police Station and the chief of
the security section of the Combine Harvester Factory. She was unjustly sent to
a detention center on December 4, 2000, not to be released until she would make
a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong. On December 26, 2000, Luan was
finally released after paying 300 Yuan to Shi Xiuwen, team leader of the
Yonghong Police Station. Her work unit forced her to go off duty, and deducted
1,000 Yuan from her salary.
[Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Police Frantically Arrest Dafa Practitioners
It has been reported that on February 5, 2002, the police in Chengdu City
carried out an all-out arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners across the city. All
arrested practitioners have been unjustly held in the newly built Chengdu
Detention Center in Pi County. Practitioners were not released until March 6.
Among the practitioners held, many refused to give out their names, including
seniors over seventy years of age. The police announced that those who did not
tell their names were to be held in custody indefinitely. About sixteen Dafa
practitioners were arrested during this police roundup.
[Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] "610 Office" Extorts Money from
Practitioners
The "610 Office" of Jinzhou city not only is an accomplice in
Jiang's regime but also rampantly extorts money from practitioners. Practitioner
Liu Wansheng was forced to pay the office 30,000 Yuan (500 Yuan is the
monthly salary for an average Chinese worker). Zhu Laicheng was forced to
pay 30,000 Yuan, and his wife and children were forced to pay a total of 10,000
Yuan, so this family has had 40,000 Yuan extorted from them all together. A
couple including Qu Jingbo had 30,000 Yuan extorted from them. Jing Xiangtie had
5,000 Yuan extorted. Wang Lige had nearly 10,000 Yuan extorted. Just the
above-mentioned practitioners had about 110,000 Yuan extorted from them. The
money was taken and no receipts were given. Many other practitioners experience
similar extortion.

Practitioner Zhang Changhong, female, 23 years old, is a resident of Linfeng

test and became a student at Northeast University majoring in International
Economics. In November 1999, because she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun
Gong and insisted on practicing, she was suspended.

[Hubei Province] Xiangfan First Detention Center Uses Force-feeding Tube as
Cruel Torturing Tool
In the First Detention Center of the Xiangfan Police Department, Falun Gong
practitioners were separated and placed into cells with criminal inmates. When
practitioners went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, their
hands were handcuffed behind their backs, they were also shackled and force-fed.
The police guards ordered that the force-feeding tubes not be pulled out and
ordered the criminals to monitor the practitioners. The criminals had to watch
practitioners day and night. This made the criminals very tired and anxious.
They found all kinds of excuses to beat up the practitioners who had their hands
cuffed behind their backs, shackles on their feet and tubes in their stomachs.
Even when practitioners stopped the hunger strike, the police guards still
ordered that the tube be kept inside and that practitioners be force-fed twice
with liquid every day. Since they were handcuffed with their hands behind their
backs, they couldn't lie down. Thus in the evening, the practitioners had to sit
on a bed board. With a tube pushed down into his or her stomach through the nose
and then esophagus, the practitioner was in so much pain that he or she couldn't
lie down. The open end of the tube was exposed in the air and only had a little
gauze wrapped on it. If the practitioner had the tube knocked out or vomited
out, the guards would push it in again.
In medical use, a force-feeding tube is mostly used to release the pressure
in the stomach and intestines in rescuing patients in critical condition. In the
First Detention Center of Xiangfan Police Department, it became a tool for
torturing practitioners on hunger strike.
[Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Guo Huiqin's Bitter Experiences
Practitioner Guo Huiqin, female, 46 years old, has worked for Xiangfan No. 1
Construction Company for a long time. Because she practices Falun Gong, she was
persecuted after July 20 1999. The evil forces have illegally fined and detained
her many times. She was sent to a forced labor camp and lost her job and income.
She had to leave her home to avoid certain arrest. In July 2001, her daughter
came home from her university during summer vacation. Guo Huiqin decided to take
a risk and go home to take care of her daughter. On July 16, 2001, while she was
about to cook for her daughter and her schoolmates, the Party General Secretary
Chen Shiping (female) called her and wanted her to talk about something at the
company. Guo thought that being a practitioner, one should put a company affair
ahead of a family affair, so she went to the company. When she arrived, the
policemen who had been waiting for her caught her. Guo Huiqin didn't cooperate
with the illegal arrest. She managed to call her daughter. Her daughter and a
few schoolmates came quickly. Chen Shiping saw that they had come and revealed
her ferocious nature. Chen Shiping and a few policemen dragged Guo out of the
building and pushed her into a police vehicle, which took her directly to a
forced labor camp. This ugly scene of evil thugs arresting a good person stunned
many people who stood on the side including Guo Huiqin's daughter and her
friends. Where is the law? Where are the human rights? In Xiangfan City Forced
Labor Camp, Guo Huiqin went on hunger strike to protest her illegal detention.
Her blood pressure went up very high. Chen Shiping said to her, "If you
stop this hunger strike, I will process the paperwork to release you." The
honest Guo Huiqin didn't think Chen was just cheating her and thought Chen still
had a little kindness in her heart, so she stopped her hunger strike. But, Chen
disappeared and never showed up for her medical treatment procedure. Guo Huiqin
decided to protect "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" with her
life so she went on hunger strike again. On the night of September 30, 2001, her
blood pressure became very high, which scared the leader at the city labor camp.
The city "610 Office" called Chen Shiping to take her home, but Chen
refused. The city "610 Office" was afraid that she might die in the
labor camp so they sent her home in their car. Not long after she arrived at
home, however, police illegally detained her again. Before the Chinese New Year,
Guo's daughter came home and looked for her everywhere. However no authority
would tell her where her mother was detained. The Chinese New Year is the time
for a family to get together, but her family was broken apart by the evil force.
[Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Wenhua Police Station Works With an
Agriculture Bank to Detain Practitioner's Relatives
Practitioner Shi Shufang, 51 years old, used to work at the Qiqihar City
Agriculture Bank Jianhua Branch. In 1999, because she went to Beijing to appeal,
she was sentenced to one year of forced labor. After one year, she should have
been released, but the authorities ignored the law again and detained her past
her term for an additional year. In 2001, she finally got home but her company
didn't allow her to work. Moreover, her company and the local police station
restricted her freedom and often called her at home to harass her. In March
2002, she went to see a relative in another county and to look for a job there.
After finding out that she had left, the policemen and some people from the
Agriculture Bank formed a team of seventeen people to search for her in
Longjiang County for a night. They didn't find her. The thugs and policemen then
illegally took away Shi Shufang's brother and sister and other relatives,
forcibly taking them to Qiqihar city. They used torture on them in an attempt to
find out the whereabouts of Shi Shufang.
[Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Dafa Practitioner Yu Guoping Is
Tortured--Suspended from a Doorway in a Police Station for Twenty Days
Yu Guoping, 38, was the director of the Tax Division in Tianning, Changzhou,
Jiangsu Province. He started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996 and was even
recognized as a Young Model Citizen of Jiangsu. Then he was arrested and
detained in Xilin detention center in Changzhou. From August 12 to the beginning
of September, at the instigation of the supervisor of the police station Li
Wenguang, , Yu was suspended from a doorway for 20 days and nights. Both his
hands were covered with scars. They even pulled off his pants and humiliated
him. At the beginning of September, he was sent to Gehu Farm in Wujin, Jiangsu,
where his hands were cuffed to his bed for a week. Enduring interrogation, from
the beginning to the end, Yu Guoping repeated to the police only one phrase,
"I have nothing to tell." At the end of September he was sent secretly
to Xilin detention center in Changzhou.
[Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Wu Shujia Is Sent to a
Mental Hospital
Before the Spring Festival of 2002, the Party Secretary of the Affiliated
Hospital of Tangshan Nurses' School Gao Zhanwen, Rector Li Zhitian, and Doctor
Liu Jun seized practitioner Wu Shujia and forced him to defame Falun Gong. Wu
clarified the truth to them with a compassionate heart, but he still was sent to
a mental hospital. Gao Zhanwen said viciously, "We have already been very
nice to you by not putting you into an iron cage." This is the forth time
that Wu has been sent to a mental hospital, his longest stay being seven months.

[Jilin Province] Wipe out the Remaining Evil in Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp
With Banners and Loudspeakers
Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai, Jilin Province, now detains hundreds of
Dafa practitioners from Jilin, Changchun, Songyuan, and other surrounding areas.
The wardens in this labor camp closely follow the "human rights
scoundrel" Jiang, helping that tyrant to do evil by killing innocent people
and fanatically persecuting Dafa practitioners. This camp has been exposed on
Minghui Net many times. The recent brutal murder of practitioner Xiao Jinsong is
only one example of the atrocities that occur there.
On the evening of March 3rd, Dafa practitioners painted many Dafa phrases
such as "Falun Dafa is Good" on the walls of this labor camp and
surrounding residential area. They displayed large posters with messages such as
"Release All Illegally-detained Dafa Practitioners Instantly!" They
also distributed many truth-clarifying CD's and flyers that exposed the crimes
of labor camp. They also set up loudspeakers on the walls to broadcast the truth
about Dafa and hung many striking scrolls in trees by the roadsides. These
actions effectively wiped out the evils in the labor camp and inspired Dafa
practitioners detained inside.
[Wujin City, Jiangsu Province] Dafa Practitioners Pressured for Ten Days to
Confess
Towards the end of September, ten practitioners from Niutang Town, Wujin
City, Jiangsu Province, were maltreated and detained in iron cages. For ten days
they were continuously pressured to confess. One practitioner lost consciousness
several times after three days and nights. They were given only half a bowl of
food each day. Some days they were given nothing. With the full approval of the
deputy supervisor Liu Zekun, the policemen of Politic Security Section in Wujin
police department used all kinds of devious tactics, including lying and
bluffing. Zhu Xiaoying and Jiang Yunxia were continuously interrogated for ten
days and nights. Yang Jinyan passed out three times.
[Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners Arrested When Clarifying
the Truth
Dafa practitioner He Chunxiang from Jingmen, Hubei Province, was arrested in
December last year when she was clarifying the truth. Before the Spring Festival
of 2002 she was sent to Shayang Labor Camp where she was persecuted mentally and
physically. This March two more practitioners Liu Juxian and Li Qingxia were
arrested when clarifying the truth. Their whereabouts is unknown.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Detention Center Mentally Persecutes Dafa
Practitioners
Recently, Shijiazhuang Detention Center has begun using mental persecution
with Dafa practitioners. Practitioners have been brainwashed, forced to watch TV
broadcasts of lies and propaganda all day, and forbidden to sleep. If they close
their eyes, they incur a beating. To Dafa practitioners who refused to cooperate
with the evil, police were even more ruthless, locking them in a "small
cell" and encouraging criminals to persecute and beat them.
[Dehui City, Jilin Province] Local Police Station Arrests Many Dafa
Practitioners
Dehui Police Station dispatched many policemen on March 9, 2002, to raid Dafa
practitioners in the city. Most practitioners treated the incidence with
righteous minds. The details will be verified.
[Gansu Province] Atrocities in Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp
Gansu practitioners Cui Yonglin of Jingyuan County and Li Chunhong of
Northwest Iron Alloy Factory were cruelly beaten in the Ping'antai Forced Labor
Camp for insisting on their beliefs. Their bodies have been horribly damaged,
and their very lives endangered. The evil persons who beat them are Wang Shukun,
Wang Yanjun and Yang Jinzhong.
Police from the Seventh Team (a women's team) including Dai Wenqin, Jing
Xuefeng, Li Xiaoqian, Liu Sheng, Liu Jieyu, Gao Tianli, Gu Yanling, Wang Yaming
and Liu Yingmei utilized their authority to incite drug abusers and prostitutes
Chen Xiaohong, Li Aixia, Sha Cuiqun, Wang Jianghong, and Wang Li to torture Dafa
practitioners. Practitioners had their hands handcuffed behind them, were
suspended from behind, were beaten up and were not allowed to sleep. These
tortures were an attempt to force Dafa practitioners to give up their belief.
Two especially vicious officers Wei Haihua and Zhou were recognized with
"model worker" awards last year.
