Two Falun Dafa Practitioners from Changchun City Reportedly Beaten to Death

On March 16^th, 2002, inside news was received from Changchun City that one male Falun Dafa practitioner (around 30 years old, an employee of the Merchant's Bank) was beaten to death. The Jincheng Police Subdivision's Criminal Brigade committed this atrocity because this practitioner had resisted the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which has intensified since Falun Dafa practitioners broadcasted Falun Gong programs through cable television in Changchun on March 5, 2002. The insider said that this Falun Dafa practitioner had many severe wounds on his body and that many of his internal organs had ruptured, indicating severe torture.

In other news leaked out of China, on March 18^th, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Yi (male, he was 34 years old and lived on Chingnian Ave., Luyuan District of Changchun City) was also beaten to death in the office of Luyuan Police Subdivision Penal Team, because he resisted the evil persecution. His body is located in the No. 208 People's Liberation Army Hospital. There are police guarding his family members 24 hours a day, and the police are attempting to seal in any information regarding this incident.

This is the first time that we have heard of brutal death cases from Changchun following the mass arrests on March 6, 2002. We have also learned that during the period of the 6^th to the 9^th of March, over 100 Falun Dafa practitioners in Changchun were abducted or detained. As a result of Jiang's pressure, the wave of mass arrests is still occurring. Due to the information blockade, we cannot precisely survey the number of illegally arrested Falun Dafa practitioners. We hope that people who know the truth will reveal the details of the above two death cases, so that all kindhearted, just people of the world can expose the evil and stop the vicious persecution from spreading further.
