A Story From Tiananmen Square: However Strong the Righteous Thoughts Are, That's How Great the Power Is

In his comment on the article "Good People," Teacher told us, "Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos' Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is."

As Dafa disciples during the Fa-Rectification period, we must abolish our attachment to life and death, safeguard the Fa, validate the Fa and eradicate the evil with courage.

I could be considered a veteran practitioner with five years of cultivation, and I have benefited tremendously in my mental and physical health. Like other practitioners, I also went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa on July 20, 1999. But without strong righteous thoughts that came with in-depth study of the Fa, I was arrested even before I reached Tiananmen Square. From then on I thought I had accomplished my mission and there was no need to go to Beijing again. I was thinking like a regular person and gave up further wishes to go back to Beijing.

Through persistent study of Teacher's new article, "It's really easy for a cultivator who's in an environment that doesn't have an evil field to say he can let go of life and death--just like your talking about letting go of life and death in a righteous field like we have here today--since there's no pressure at all. But it's a different matter if in an evil environment, in an environment full of evil elements, you validate the Fa and dare to step forward to expose the evil." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference") After my thinking ascended to a higher realm, I wished that I could again go to Beijing to validate the Fa. I had been cultivating with my celestial eye opened. I saw two Chinese characters in my celestial eye, "man" and "insignificant." I started to realize that man is truly insignificant from any angle. It is most magnificent when a Dafa disciple could validate the Fa. I must accomplish what I enlightened to. Five of us started our journey of Fa-Validation to Beijing on January 15, 2002. With a firm and resolute faith in Dafa, our unbending respect to Teacher, and a compassionate heart to all sentient beings we intended to "eradicate the evil and validate Dafa" in Beijing. We kept generating the purest righteous thoughts along the way, "All inclusive and without any omission, completely and thoroughly exterminate all obstacles and interferences that lies in our path to rectify the Fa in Beijing." Throughout our journey we had powerful righteous thoughts as a single united particle.

Teacher's guidance and trust towards disciples further strengthened our resolve and righteous conviction. We arrived at the Beijing train station without any hindrance and reached Tiananmen Square at 11 a.m. As we walked around, we sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the old, evil forces above Tiananmen Square. A policeman came towards us when we reached the flagpole. Together we sent forth our righteous thoughts, "Let us be invisible to him so he will get away from us." That policeman really ended up staying where he was. We continued to move forward. Then two more policemen approached us and asked us where we came from. We thought resolutely, "Never cooperate with evil," and continued walking forward. One policeman tried to grab one of us, asking, "What is your name?" This practitioner replied, "I do not understand what you are saying." The policeman asked again, "What is your name? Where do you come from?" At this time the powerful righteous thoughts burst out from this practitioner and he said, "You are not fit to ask me any questions!" The policeman replied, "You can go."

In the underground tunnel we tried to find opportunities to unfurl our banners while sending forth righteous thoughts. A policeman with a baton was standing right behind us. With righteous thoughts pouring forth another practitioner and I started walking towards nearby gift shops to lure the policeman away. The policeman followed us. We picked up speed, quickly went into a gift shop and thought, "He must not find us." That policeman looked left and right but just could not find us. He ended up walking out of the gift shop. At this point, righteous thoughts surged again from all five of us, "Let all police squad cars, policemen, their walkie-talkies and two-way radios on Tiananmen Square freeze and stop working." Then we took out our prepared banners standing under the Chinese flag, facing Tiananmen. The time was noon. There were many police squad cars in front of Tiananmen and numerous policemen behind us. We raised our banners high above our heads and shouted out. Our minds were totally clear and blank. A tourist nearby yelled, "The sky opened up!" I could see from my celestial eye that Teacher was smiling at me. Right there and then all evil police stayed where they were. We collected our banners and safely returned home.

After validating the Fa at Tiananmen Square, I really understood the Fa as stated by Teacher, "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." Only with all-conquering righteous faith, righteous enlightenment, and righteous thought could one carry out the indestructible righteous act. Such an act will frighten all evils. The light of truth emitted will disintegrate any abnormal thoughts within all sentient beings. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is.
