More Than 100 New York Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil In Front of Chinese Consulate, Call for the End of the Mass Murder of Changchun Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) More than 100 Falun Gong practitioners from the Greater New York area held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate this evening, urgently appealing to all kind-hearted people to help stop the Jiang regime's rampant mass murder of Changchun practitioners.

Since the broadcast of Falun Gong truth-clarifying programs on Changchun's cable TV network on March 5, Jilin Province police have been conducting a large-scale wave of arrests. Already over 5,000 practitioners have been abducted, and reports of practitioners being tortured to death come in everyday. The Changchun practitioners are in the midst of an extremely severe situation. The practitioners from the Greater New York area came to the Chinese Consulate for the candlelight vigil, holding a large banner that said, "Jiang, immediately stop the massacre in Changchun." They also performed the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts. They urgently appealed to the kind people of the world to extend their help, in order to end the large-scale murder of Falun Gong practitioners by the Jiang regime.

Many passersby stopped to ask how they could help. The practitioners told them that everyone should take action and use all available channels, including signing petitions, telephone calls, faxes, emails, letters, and personal visits, to appeal to governments and organizations all over the world and expose the brutal acts of Jiang's regime.

Reporters from Radio Free Asia and Ming Pao Newspaper conducted on-site interviews.

Practitioners from the Greater New York area will hold a press conference tomorrow at the same location.
