Fang Longchao is a 41 years old male practitioner in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Fang is a college graduate, and he used to work as an engineer at the Yangtze River Hydro-conservancy Committee. Fang went twice to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong after July 20, 1999, and in both cases, he was arrested by the police and sent back to Wuhan. On September 10, 1999, the persecutors started to detain Fang. On September 16, the Public Security Bureau imprisoned Fang under the name of "monitored housing." On November 18, 1999, the Jiangan District Court illegally sentenced Fang Longchao to 3 years in prison. Fang refused to accept the court decision, and he said, "Appealing for help is a citizen's lawful right entrusted by China's constitution; what crime have I committed?" However, the Wuhan City Intermediate People's Court rejected his appeal and upheld the original sentence. On July 21, 2000, the perpetrators put Fang into Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang (Hubei Province).

Because Fang Longchao refused to give up his cultivation, the perpetrators brutally tortured him mentally and physically during his detention: they handcuffed him, did not allow him to sleep, and force-fed him when he went on hunger strikes. The prison guards also put him outdoors during cold weather, and instigated other inmates to beat and monitor him 24 hours a day. Currently, Fang Longchao is still detained in Fanjiatai Prison, yet the details of his condition are not known. We call for all kind-hearted people to pay attention to Fang's case.

In addition, under the severe mental and physical torture, Fang was "transformed" while his mind was not clear. Now he solemnly declares that all the things he wrote and said because of the torture are completely void, and he will continue to cultivate Dafa firmly. At the same time, he proposed another appeal to the higher court: 1. The "charge" against him is not tenable. 2. The so-called "delinquent account" is not tenable.

1. Dafa practitioner Ho Bin in Bengfu Railroad Sub-bureau was illegally sentenced to 18 months in forced labor camp. Ho is currently detained at Nanhu Forced Labor Camp in Xuancheng City. When Ho Bin was sent to the forced labor camp around the time of the Spring Festival of 2001, his daughter was only 3 months old.
2. Dafa practitioner Pei Guoqi in Fengtai Railroad Section is now illegally detained at Nanguan Detention Center in Taihe County.
3. Dafa practitioner Meng Hao is now detained at Yongcheng City Detention Center in Henan Province. The perpetrators in Fuyang Railroad Section fired Meng from his post in October 1999, after which Meng stayed at home. In January 2002, the local police arrested Meng while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials in Yongcheng City, Henan Province.
4. Dafa practitioner Chen Xiaohua's location is not known. In March 2000, Chen was fired by perpetrators in Fuyang Railroad Section for appealing in Beijing. Chen went again to appeal in Beijing later that same month. The police at Jingxi Public Security Bureau illegally arrested him/her. Chen was later sentenced to 1 year in a forced labor camp by the local "610" office [Note: The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. In February 2002, Chen was arrested again by police in Qiaocheng District Public Security Sub-bureau (Bozhou City, Anhui Province). Chen's current whereabouts are not known. (It was said that Chen Xiaohua managed to escape using his righteous thoughts.)

Practitioner Li Peisheng was arrested for no reason two years ago. The perpetrators sent Li to a forced labor camp and kept him/her there for two years. Since Li firmly refused to give up cultivation, the perpetrators extended his/her term. Around time of the Spring Festival of 2002, Li was released. However, the police suddenly arrested him again last week and sent him to a "brainwashing class."

Zhong Yifang is a female practitioner in her 40's. In April 2002, Zhong was reported by someone while she was clarifying the truth to people. The perpetrators detained her for a month and extorted money from her. Later on, the police went to her home again to harass her. Zhong refuse to open the door, so the police tried to get into her home through the balcony. Zhong clarified the truth to her neighbors; seeing that the neighbors came to know about their wrongdoing, the police retreated. In July 2001, the perpetrators sent Zhong to a "brainwashing class" at Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong, and then illegally sentenced her to 18 months in a labor camp.

In the square in front of the city government building, there were some pictures that slandered Dafa. Because the local practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts together, the pictures have been destroyed.

Recently, practitioner Chen Junsong was sent to Yulin, Guangxi Province, where he was persecuted in a "brainwashing class."

In a forced labor camp in Shenyang City, there used to be an "assisting group" [a group formed by people who used to cultivate Dafa, but have enlightened along evil paths and help the perpetrators to "brainwash" Dafa practitioners.] of 40 to 50 people. However, many of the people inside the group have started to cultivate Dafa again, and the directors of the labor camp are worrying that they could not meet the expectation from their superiors.

During the Spring Festival of 2002, Li Jianquan was sent to the labor camp. Li is a male is his 30's. He was arrested in Inner Mongolia and sent back to Shenyang. It was said that this man was "transformed" on the second day of the "brainwashing class." The guards of the labor camp were very happy and immediately held a "blessing ceremony" for Li Jianquan. During the ceremony, the police guards praised and applauded Li. However, a few hours later, Li went into a lethargic sleep, after which he became mentally ill. He started to talk nonsense, and his condition grew worse as time went by. The "assistants" and guards then tortured him with more efforts, beat him, and shocked him with electric batons. His cries of misery could be heard continuously.

The incident alarmed everyone in the labor camp. A wicked officer named Shi said to his directors, "This is a case of complete transformation." Ridiculously, the directors agreed. We can see from this example that the "transformation" is actually "transforming" good people to bad people, "transforming" normal people into insane people.

Li Fuquan is a male in his 50's. Li is the Chief at Toudaohe Police Station in Yi County (Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province). Since July 20, 1999, Li Fuquan has closely followed Jiang's regime in persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners, actively executing Jiang's policy of "cutting off their economic resources."

At the end of Oct. 1999, some Dafa practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. After they returned the perpetrators fined each of them 2000 Yuan. [Chinese dollars. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, but only 200 Yuan for a rural worker.] There were two families in which all three members of the family went to Beijing to appeal, and both families were extorted almost 10,000 Yuan each. Those practitioners (about 30 people) who did not go to Beijing were extorted 200 Yuan each, under the guise of "guarantee money," totaling about 7,000 Yuan. Throughout 2001, Li Fuquan became more irrational; he arrested the related practitioners and fined them whenever he heard some "information." When he could not get money from the practitioners, he sent them to forced labor camps. In September 2001, a Dafa practitioner went to Beijing to validate Dafa. The practitioner was arrested, and later released unconditionally. Li thought that the practitioner would send money and goods to him. In October, when the practitioner came, Li sent the practitioner to a forced labor camp. On January 1, 2001, another practitioner went to Beijing. After the practitioner returned, someone reported him/her to Li. In order to threaten more Dafa practitioners, Li Fuquan wanted to arrest the practitioner. As a result, the practitioner was forced to become homeless to avoid being persecuted. Yet Li threatened the practitioner's family members many times, causing the practitioner's grandmother to become very sick. The old lady almost died.

In the past several years, police officer Li Fuquan extorted about 60,000 Yuan from dozens of Dafa practitioners and sent two practitioners to forced labor camps. Two more practitioners were forced to become homeless to avoid his persecution.
