Court Notice Intentionally Delayed, Preventing Practitioner's Relatives from Attending the Trial

(Clearwisdom.net) Since he started practicing Falun Dafa, my son has benefited both physically and mentally, he works more diligently and is well liked by his co-workers.

On July 20^th, 1999, Jiang started persecuting Falun Gong. My son went to Beijing to safeguard Falun Dafa. He was arrested, sent back, and detained for 15 days. "Soon after, he was expelled from his work place; all his co-workers hated to see him go. In the summer of 2000, to validate Falun Dafa, my son participated in a group practice. He was arrested again and detained for another 15 days. A few days after he was released from the detention center, the local police came to take him to the "Brainwashing program" which lasted for more than 20 days. The local police and neighborhood community association often harass us, phoning our home or coming to our house. My son could not find a job.

One night in the beginning of 2001, my son was at another practitioner's house. Without warning, several police, holding the permission issued by the County Procurator saying, "Arrest is permitted," broke in and arrested my son and the other practitioner. They took them to the local police station and beat my son severely, then took him to the detention center where he was held for a month. What makes one most indignant firstly, My son has been detained for a year, and we are never allowed to visit him and secondly, they held a court trial against my son, yet the County Court didn't mail out the notice until six days after it was held (with evidence of the postmark on the envelope). When I received the letter and opened it, it read, "It is hereby to inform you to appear in court on time". But the date had in fact already passed. Obviously they did not want me to appear in court, and did not want me to see my son. In the newspaper, they often say, "Police Affairs Open", the free pamphlets at the detention center also say "Police Affairs Open" It sounds just fine, but the fact is, it's been a year already, and I still have not seen my son. The public security will close the door and hold the "trial" behind it, what sort of "Open" is this? I would say it is a persecution too ashamed to face the public; it is entirely heartless.

Several days after the trial, a lawyer called to meet with us, accusing us of not appearing in court. He identified himself as the "defense" lawyer designated by the court. After repeated requests, he finally gave us a copy of the "court minutes," it was all scribbled with no "defense" documented at all. The lawyer collected 100 Yuan from us as a consulting fee. There's a policeman in the detention center in charge of my son's case. When we asked him about the court result, he said, "I don't know."

I strongly demand that the public security return my son to me! Return my son to me! Immediately release all Falun Dafa practitioners detained in China!
