A Falun Dafa practitioner personally witnessed the following scene: On March 12, 2002 at 9 a.m., a particular large truck was driving fast along a main street in a certain northeastern city. On top of the truck a high-volume speaker had been mounted, which was broadcasting the truth about Falun Dafa. The voice was very loud and resounded though the whole sky, and on the back and two sides of the truck big Dafa banners were hung.

The truck drove quickly down the street. It was daytime and pedestrians were everywhere, and they even ran after the truck to get a closer look. People were deeply shocked. Some people declared, "The Falun Gong are extraordinary. Police have been arresting them so crazily, yet they still dare to promote Falun Gong like this!" The vehicle's license plate number was covered beforehand and the truck managed to cover a lot of distance on the main street. This great action effectively shocked and eliminated the evil and awoke the world's people. We send our greetings and respect to these Dafa disciples!

Since the incident, the police now start to monitor the streets and intersections trying to prevent this incident from reoccurring.

Several female Falun Dafa practitioners from Dehui City (Ma Chunli, Li Ruifeng, Tan Zhongxiu, Chi Wenxia and Zhen Sixiang) went to the Nanguan District Court in Changchun to do Fa-rectification work and were subsequently abducted. In order to resist the unjust detention, they began a hunger strike on March 6. At present, Zhen Sixiang and Chi Wenxia are in a coma and on the verge of death. Tan Zhongxiu had blood in her urine, and was then sent to a hospital. Ma Chunli and Li Ruifeng were sent to the Heizuizi Labor Camp. Ma Chunli, currently still on a hunger strike, is on the verge of death. Falun Dafa practitioners and kindhearted people from around the world, please pay attention to this issue.

Our investigation uncovered the following means of persecution employed by the police against Falun Dafa practitioners and their families:

1. Illegal impounding of one's vehicle. For example, Dafa practitioner Zhao Xishun was not at home, and the police illegally impounded his scooter.
2. Illegal detention of Falun Dafa practitioners' family members. Dafa practitioner Jia Yunxia has been forced into homelessness in order to avoid persecution. The police forcefully took away and detained his elderly father. At another practitioner's house, a vicious policeman attempted to take away his wife and was fortunately stopped by Jia's relatives.
3. Illegally trapping and intimidating practitioners' family members: Police attempted to trap Dafa practitioner Hui Xuan on many occasions. The police waited beside the home of his father; once they arrested his brother (a non-practitioner) in error and detained him overnight. The police intimidated his family members by telling them that if they do not report on Hui Xuan's actions they, too, would also be sentenced. Another female practitioner who lives with her son is presently detained. The police intimidated her son many times and conducted investigations. Police harassed a practitioner's mother and other relatives and monitored their house.
4. Intimidating a Falun Dafa practitioner: One practitioner went to look for a house and was stopped and questioned by police. When the practitioner resisted the illegal action, this vicious policeman made a hand posture and shouted, "I shot you!"
5. Direct abduction: Many practitioners were abducted from their homes.

Up to March 19, the police in Dehui City had abducted over 52 Falun Dafa practitioners. Some of these have undertaken hunger strikes. We appeal to the whole world to pay attention to this issue.

During two national conferences, the Police Department of the City District of Laiwu City arrested practitioners without restraint and detained them in a brainwashing class at the Xiaoyi County Government Building. The brainwashing class currently has about ten practitioners, including one who was rejected from labor camp because of health problems. In the brainwashing class, practitioners are forced to watch and listen to evil theories. The police claim that the brainwashing class is a long-term class and will operate as long as needed. Many practitioners have been forced to become homeless to avoid illegal detention and persecution.

On February 28, 2002, the city police department was ordered to send three practitioners, who had been held in the detention center for about a month, to a forced labor camp. One was rejected for health reasons. The other two were Wang Fengqing from Longquan Guanzhuang Village, Fangxia Town, Laicheng District, and Zhang Shenyin from Guanjiahe Village, Zhangjiakou Town, Laicheng District. Wang Fengqing's wife also refused to write any "guarantee letter" complying with the evil, so she has had to flee from her home to avoid evil persecution. Now their two children have no parents to take care of them.

On December 30, 2001, about 60 more practitioners were detained in Beijing City Daxing County Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. These practitioners were sent from the Detainee Distribution Center of Beijing City. The first three days at the labor camp the practitioners were subjected to intense brainwashing. The camp used people who were once practitioners but had been brainwashed by the police to brainwash these 60 practitioners with deception and lies, depriving the already exhausted practitioners of sleep.

Practitioners please send forth the righteous thoughts to eliminate the evils.

Hunan practitioner Liu Daju, 53 years old, was illegally sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for distributing truth flyers. In the detention center, the vicious policemen put a 100-pound iron chain around her neck and locked it to her hands. Because of the heavy chain, she cannot stand straight and is only able to crawl slowly on the ground. Even like this, the evil policemen use the excuse of interrogation to force her to move around for over half an hour every day. After 7 days without food and water, she lost consciousness. The policemen simply poured cold water on her, woke her up, and continued the torture.

In another detention center, the police guards have used such methods of torture as detaining practitioners together with criminals suffering from severe sexually transmitted diseases or have locked the practitioners in water dungeons. Practitioner Li Yumei is a resident of Dadi Village, Wanli County, Dalian Development Zone. After July 20, 1999, Li Yumei used her legal right to appeal in Beijing. After returning home, she was detained at the Yaojia Detention Center and fined 5,000 Yuan before being released. The vicious policemen continued to harass her at home. About three months later, they broke into Li Yumei's home and arrested her while she was sewing clothes. Without going through any legal procedures, the police sentenced her to 3 years of forced labor. She is currently detained at the Dalian Forced Labor Institute.

China Technology University Master's degree student Xue Tingxiao and his newly married wife Wang Xiaoqing (a teacher at Wuhu Normal University) were arrested from their apartment the night of August 21, 2001 for practicing Falun Gong. The couple was first detained in a hotel room where the police interrogated them. The vicious policemen put handcuffs and shackles on the slight, young female practitioner and interrogated her continuously for five days and nights.

Other China Technology University graduate students including Ph.D. students Li Chuanfeng and Zhang Gang, graduate student Li Guofeng, Li Kai from Tobacco College, and Zhang Jin, who graduated from Construction and Industry College, were also detained in Hefei Detention Center. The police arrested them and intend to try them in the courts.
