Practitioners from Washington DC Hold Press Conference and Candlelight Vigil in front of the Washington Monument to Support the Practitioners in Changchun City (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon of March 26, several dozen practitioners from the Washington DC area held an urgent press conference in front of the Washington Monument to call for the public's concern for the recent escalated persecution against Falun Gong conducted by the Chinese regime. Practitioners from the Washington DC area would also hold a six-day candlelight vigil activity.

Since the broadcast of the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong in Changchun City, Jilin Province on March 5, Jiang's vicious lies and atrocities have been exposed in front of a million people. Jiang was so utterly discomfited that he issued the order of "killing without pardon" and started a new round of vicious killing and persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Since March 5, the Changchun municipal government directed many policemen and security agents to track down and arrest Falun Gong practitioners using all means, terrifying civilians. The entire city of Changchun is under a blanket of terror. According to sources, over 5,000 Dafa practitioners in Changchun area have already been rounded up and practitioners are being tortured to death almost on a daily basis.

In order to urgently rescue the fellow practitioners in Changchun City, practitioners simultaneously gathered in front of the Washington Monument and carried out an "SOS Urgent Rescue" activity in the rain. Practitioners displayed the banners and called for the release of all detained Falun Gong practitioners. The passersby stopped by the banners, took the leaflets and listened to the statement addressing the media and the urgent appeal letter. They expressed their support and best wishes. Through the conversations, we found out that almost every passerby knew about Jiang's most vicious persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China. The tourists from Europe said, "We have known all of these in our countries."

We hereby call for all kind people to raise awareness of the murder happening in China. Let's explain the truth to more people and together end this evil persecution soon.
