Canada Toronto Dafa Practitioners

On the afternoon of March 1, 2002, Shenli Lin held a press conference in a Hilton Hotel in Toronto. Several Chinese and English media, the Chairman of "Association of Friends of Falun Gong" and a counselor-at-law attended the conference.

Shenli Lin and his wife had come to Toronto from Montreal. The press conference lasted nearly 2 hours and reporters on site interviewed Shenli Lin in detail. The reporters on site and other people present were moved by seeing Lin's upright manner and steadfast determination to practice Falun Gong after two-years of illegal imprisonment, his sincere and honest speech and his behavior, which demonstrated the "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" of a Dafa practitioner.

Reporter: "What do you think of the continuous efforts of your wife to rescue you during the last two years?"

Shenli Lin: "I am very touched. I think that she was not only trying to help me but also more people. It is not wrong for us to practice Falun Gong and to be good people. My wife's appeal for me tells people from the other side that tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are still being tortured in China. They have not committed any crimes. They should be released. I know that many kind-hearted people and government officials in Canada offered support and help to rescue me after I was released. I appreciate all the kind-hearted people and hope that you continue your help to stop the persecution."

Reporter: "How do you feel about the freedom?"

Lin Shenli: "Very happy."

Reporter: "What do you mostly want to say?"

Lin Shenli: "Falun Dafa's principles are 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.' It is the truth and in is invincible. During the two-year-long illegal imprisonment and spiritual torture, I never wavered in my determination in cultivation. I passed the tribulation steadfastly. I know that 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' can really improve society's moral values and make people more kind."

After the two-hour press conference, some reporters interviewed Shenli Lin separately.

As Lin Shenli said in his statement, "Truth and Righteousness Will Not Be Defeated."
