Houston Dafa Practitioners

Since the broadcast of the Falun Gong truth-clarifying video over the Changchun cable TV system on March 5, 2002, the Changchun City Government has been carrying out Jiang's order to "kill them without pardon." As of now at least 5,000 practitioners have been detained in Changchun and almost every day there are new reports of practitioners dying of torture in police custody.

Houston Dafa practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 27, 2002. The banner reading, "Stop the Killing of Falun Gong Practitioners" was eye-catching. Some people reduced their driving speed and honked their horns to express their sympathy. Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts many times. They called on all people to help stop the brutal persecution against innocent Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun and to demand the release of all detained practitioners.
