On the morning of March 24, 2002, it was bright day in Beijing, although a fierce sandstorm had attacked Beijing several days before. Many banners, with red characters on yellow background reading, "Falun Dafa is good" were hung from utility poles and shone radiantly in the sunlight. This display was seen in the Chaoyang District at the Chaoyang crossroads bridge along both sides of Sihuan Road, which effectively suppressed the evil.

Wanjia Forced Labor Camp is indeed a demon's den where the evil gathers. The guards use contemptible methods to torture practitioners. They locked up Dafa practitioners in solitary confinement and attempted to brainwash them. They also use the "Sandwiching" method, that is, two people work on a practitioner to isolate him or her and prevent him from talking with others, to take turns to "attack" the practitioners in order to weaken their will. Under such inhumane persecution, some practitioners couldn't persevere and neglected to send forth righteous thoughts when they minds were not clear, so they were forced into writing the "three statements" [These statements renounce Falun Dafa, promise not to go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, and promise not associate with other Dafa practitioners].

Zhang Bo, head of No. 12 Division, is a hypocritical person with a nice demeanor but insidious heart. He gave some freedom to those who had made compromises, while strictly monitoring determined practitioners. Those practitioners who violated the "rules" would be brutally tortured. During the brainwashing process, they used mental persecution and physical abuse. One practitioner couldn't bear it and was locked in a solitary compartment. Another 23-year-old practitioner, due to his determination in Dafa, was tortured to the point of suffering from a mental breakdown. Zhang Bo has received retribution for his brutal brainwashing methods. Another chief, last name Guo, was assigned to the No. 12 Division.

From then on, during normal visiting time, family members of Falun Gong practitioners had to curse Teacher before they were allowed to get into the "reception room." This was indeed extremely malicious! We have experienced all the maltreatments reported on Clearwisdom.Net. We hope all Dafa practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts everyday to completely eliminate the evil. Eliminate the evil at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp and other labor camps all over China that unconstitutionally detain Dafa practitioners.

I am a practitioner from Dunhuang City. On April 8, 2000, a fellow practitioner came to my home, and we studied the Fa together. The local police learned about this and suspended my husband Du Shengquan's salary. On April 12, 2000, policemen ransacked my home. They also suspended some practitioners' salaries and ransacked practitioners' homes. These practitioners included Ding Haifeng, Li Fahua, Li Qinglian, He Shaohua, Zhang Zeyu. Du Shengquan and He Shaohua were handcuffed to a heating pipe in the police department for a whole night.

In mid September 2001, policemen ransacked my home for the second time.

On the night of February 28, 2002, three police officers who ransacked my home the last time, including officer Bai Jianping, ransacked my home for the third time. They even confiscated a small piece of yellow cloth. They also took my husband and me to the police department and didn't release us until 1 a.m. the next morning.

On March 1, 2002, this group of thugs ransacked my daughter-in-law's home. They took her to the police precinct and interrogated her. They asked her to turn in a "self-criticism." My daughter-in-law wrote, "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa. Falun Gong is good!" The police couldn't do anything with her so they gave up.

Guan Longmei, 31 years old, is an employee at Lanzhou City's Carbon Factory. She obtained the Fa in 1996. Twice, on July 14 and December 27, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate the Fa and was illegally detained after she returned to her hometown. In the detention center she was brutally beaten by drug addicts and drug dealers until she lost consciousness.

On February 8, 2002, Guo Jianhua, party secretary and Qiu Tianrong, chairman of the workers union, came to Guan's home, instigated by Zhou Xiangjiu, director of the "610 Office" in the factory [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. They pretended to ask her to return to work. The next day, February 9, group leader Zhao Liang came. With a forced smile he said the chairman of the workers union asked him to come to see whether she could work. As Zhao Liang was leaving, two police officers barged in, followed by five or six more policemen. They ordered Guan to go to the "610 Office" to have a talk. Guan refused to go, and they forcibly pulled her. She carried her less 1-1/2-year-old child in her arms and prepared to leave with the police. However, vicious policeman Zhang Wenge grabbed the child, and several policemen took her away. Guan was first detained at a detention center and then transferred to Lanzhou City's Ping'antai Labor Camp. She has been detained for more than one month now, but her family has not received any information. Those policemen who arrested her were from the Haishiwan Police Department.

After July 20, 1999, practitioners in Langfang City stepped out to safeguard and validate Dafa. This was the area in Hebei Province with the largest number of practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal. Furthermore, because the local practitioners actively clarified the truth, the evil was effectively suppressed. Therefore, this area became the "focal point" in Hebei Province. Last year, the chief perpetrators of the persecution Jiang and Luo separately came to Langfang City and blamed the local police for not effectively suppressing Falun Gong. From then on, the thugs in Langfang City grew rampant. They destroyed local truth-clarifying material centers and held two brainwashing classes at Langfang City's No. 2 Hotel and Yuecheng Hotel. They kidnapped hundreds of practitioners and forcibly sent them to brainwashing classes. They used collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] from Tangshan City's Kaiping Female Labor Camp to torture Dafa practitioners in these brainwashing classes and did not allow the practitioners to sleep. They tried to force evil "enlightenment" into practitioners' minds. One practitioner who resisted the brainwashing was abused to the point of a mental breakdown over the course of 17 days of persecution.

Because the truth-clarifying material sites were destroyed, practitioners could not read experience-sharing articles on Clearwisdom.Net, and some practitioners could not even read Teacher's new articles when they were published. Many practitioners are being tortured at labor camps and brainwashing classes, so it's very hard for people to see any Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Therefore, the evil in this area is very rampant now. We hope all practitioners who read this news send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in this area, help the practitioners who are being persecuted and offer salvation to kind-hearted people who are being poisoned by lies.

On March 23, Dafa practitioner Xu Qinxiang from Fuyuan County was reported to the police while doing truth-clarification work and later kidnapped by police. Xu is now being held at Tongjiang City's Detention Center.

On the morning of March 25, some lawless policemen kidnapped Dafa practitioner Han Rongcai from Hailun City to a detention center, only because they found some Dafa books, banners and recent experience sharing materials at Han's home. Zhao Lei took the lead of the lawless policemen, and Xiao Ye led personnel from the Political & Security Section. In the past few days they rampantly kidnapped several Dafa practitioners.

Practitioner Ms. Li Ruizhen from Panyu City had been to Beijing twice already to rectify the Fa and was arrested each time. During her second arrest, under cruel torture by abusive policemen, she was forced to write the so-called "guarantee statement" saying, "I will not practice any more." After her release, she realized that she should not make such a promise to the evil forces, and she once again joined Fa-rectification work. On March 17, 2002, she went to Beijing for the third time, was arrested and brought back. She is now being held at a police station.
