Furthermore, in order to fuel people's hatred and continue to delude and control the people, every work unit has received orders to publicize defamatory, fear-inducing rumors, such as "Falun Gong practitioners are going to put poison in people's food" and "They are planning to commit a 5,000-people group suicide," and other evil lies. Police authorities claimed that the 5,000 practitioners whom the police have arrested since the beginning of March are going to commit group suicide. They also further falsely accused and lied about Falun Gong, claiming that practitioners made certain telephone calls that were actually made by other anonymous people. The evil's intent is truly malicious.

On March 25, Changchun City Central Hospital housed a 22-year-old male Dafa practitioner, a patient with a severe head injury. He apparently had a blood clot in the brain. This practitioner, fair-skinned and wearing glasses, was on the verge of death. After a mere two-day stay in the hospital, more than 30 police officers photographed this practitioner and removed him from the hospital on March 25. The doctor warned that leaving the hospital would be life threatening for this practitioner.

According to insider reports, Changchun City police personnel brutally torture every arrested Dafa practitioner to extort confessions and to force them to reveal the names of other practitioners. We hope all practitioners who read this news will send forth righteous thoughts and eliminate from the root the evil that persecutes Dafa and Dafa practitioners.

Ever since the March 5 Changchun cable TV incident, on the surface, the evil in Changchun has been extremely rampant. Many practitioners were arrested, and many others were beaten to death. However, this cannot last long. News was heard from within the police system that this so-called "blanketing the city" search is going to end on March 30. Monitoring police personnel and police cars in front of practitioners' homes have also disappeared recently. The practitioners in Changchun are still determined, undeterred and indestructible.

Yu Yong is chief of Nanguan District Police Department and around 30 years of age. He posted a reward of 500 Yuan for every practitioner captured at the No. 1 Automotive Co. Security Section, where they indeed arrested one practitioner. Right now, court officials, prosecutors and police station officers have set up a monitoring post at the Nanhu Hotel, and they directly sentence to jail any practitioner that they capture. Changchun News Publishing Bureau prohibited any printing or copying of Falun Gong-related materials. Once they are found out, the owner of the printing shop will have his license suspended. The shop would be ordered to close down, while people who report the "violators" would be rewarded. If enterprises or other related work units have practitioners in their employment and this is found out, the owners would have their licenses suspended and their bank accounts would be frozen. It was learned that an over 70-year-old female practitioner was arrested when posting Dafa materials. They beat her face until it was swollen, and she was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. A male practitioner around forty years of age was found to have some Dafa materials when he was body-searched one night, and he was beaten until the bridge of his nose was broken. A female teacher at a music school was forcibly taken away after two Dafa flyers were found at her home. Dafa-slandering exhibits are being held at Changchun University and also at Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. About one week ago, a practitioner who is knowledgeable about cable TV technology was arrested and illegally detained at the Changchun Tiexi Detention Center after a copy of the book Essentials For Further Advancement II was found at his home. The police are still looking for those practitioners who broadcast the truth clarification programs through cable TV.
