Falun Dafa Practitioners Suffer Persecution in Qianxi County, Guizhou Province

On the night of August 6, 2001, Dafa practitioners Wang Xiaodong, Shi Denglin, Yan Chengli, and Li Lin from Guizhou Province were arrested while they were clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were held at Qianxi County Detention Center. They were deprived of the legal rights to defend themselves, to appeal, etc. and suffered inhumane tortures at the detention center.

One day in November 2001, Wang Xiaodong clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the public security officials who were interrogating him. He also told them about the heavenly principle of "Good is rewarded with good and evil meets with evil." At that time, since Wang Xiaodong had been on a hunger strike for six days protesting the inhumane tortures, he was quite underweight. However those public security officials angrily threw him down to the ground, which caused his left ear to hit the edge of a tea table. Moreover, they wildly kicked him and stomped on his ribs, lower back, legs, and arms. The injuries caused a big lump filled with blood on his ear. It took him one month to recover, and he is still experiencing tinnitus. He suffered injuries to his ribs and all over his legs and arms. It was hard for him to lie down and sleep. He couldn't cough without pain until a month later. Those public security officials wanted Wang to kneel down after they kicked and stomped on him, but Wang refused their request. They said, "Who got the retribution? How dare you say that we will get retribution?"

In January 2002, Li Lin wrote two poems on the blackboard to persuade people to behave benevolently. Later, when some high level inspectors from Guizhou Province examined the detention center, they took a picture. Then they said, "There are some Falun Gong practitioners detained here." After the inspectors left, Tian Zuyan, the head of detention center, asked furiously, "Who wrote the poems?" Li Lin said to him calmly, "There is nothing wrong with following 'Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance' in one's conduct. What's wrong with these two poems?" Tian had nothing to say. Then he forcefully struck Li on the head six times. He also put shackles, weighing about 31 pounds, on Li's feet, which caused him to faint on the cement floor of the drill grounds during lunch on January 28, 2002. Even real criminals could not fully express their anger at the cruel tortures Li suffered. Some of them even shed tears.

Shi Denglin, a Dafa practitioner, saw Li Lin wearing the shackles. When Tian Zuyan asked Shi to take a picture, Shi asked, "What rule did Li break in the detention center?" Tian had no answer. Tian asked Shi not to interfere with this matter. Then Shi asked Tian to loosen the shackles on Li; otherwise Shi would not let them take his picture. Tian was so aggravated he told five prisoners to force Li to have his picture taken. When Shi wouldn't cooperate, Tian viciously beat him and added shackles to Shi's legs. Police officer Zhang took a pair of handcuffs and locked Shi's hands and feet together. Accordingly, Shi couldn't stand up, walk, or feed himself. Dafa practitioners are still suffering the cruel tortures right now.

Tian Zuyan, the head of the detention center at Qianxi County, is notorious for his abominable behavior. At one time, Tian was the head of a detoxification center in Qianxi County. Because he was so cruel and merciless in treating the patients, they complained about him. He was then transferred to the detention center and put in charge. His badge number is 023798.
