Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners Make Peaceful Appeal at Tiananmen Square

Sydney, March 7, 2002, 1:30pm (Falun Dafa Information Center) Australian Falun Gong Practitioners are currently at Tiananmen Square making a direct peaceful appeal to the Chinese Government to stop the State Terrorism against Falun Gong. "We are voicing the hearts of the thousands of practitioners who are illegally detained and tortured in labour camps and mental institutions throughout China to have their freedom restored to practise Truth, Compassion and Forbearance."

......"We are not against the Government or China. In Article 35 of the Constitution of the Peoples Republic of China states: 'Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of Procession, and of demonstration..... .' We call upon the Australian Government and the whole International community to stand up for Truth, Compassion and Forbearance and help free the Falun Dafa practitioners in China as their basic human rights are being denied. BBC reported that at least 4 western practitioners were arrested on Tiananmen Square
