A Mainland China Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 26, 1999, I went to Beijing to tell the government how I benefited from Falun Dafa. The policemen from my hometown took me home and illegally sentenced me to one year of forced labor. Because of my attachments, I gave in to the enormous pressure. After I was released, I felt very upset for what I had done. I hated myself for not having given up everything for the truth. After regretting my actions for a period of time, I calmed down. I began to clarify the truth to the people, putting forth every effort to make up for the losses brought to Dafa.

At that time Dafa practitioners had not started to use the method of distributing flyers, so I only clarified the truth by word of mouth. However, I often felt that I could not explain the truth well and was at a loss for words. This was because at that time, ordinary people were strictly controlled by evil elements. Furthermore, I did not know some of the truth either, nor did I fully understand the Fa. As time passed by, my understanding of the Dafa principles deepened. Gradually I was able to answer questions and resolve different people's confusion due to their misunderstandings of Dafa. In the meantime, I constantly rectified my own words and deeds, letting ordinary people see the noble realm of purity and selflessness of a Dafa disciple achieved through Fa study. Sometimes, an unexpected, magical event would suddenly occur that displayed the magnificence of Dafa.

For example, one day in May of 2000, several other people and I were putting waterproof materials on the roof of a residential building. As we were working, I told them about many incidents of how Dafa benefits mankind and the principle that good will be rewarded with good and evil will be met with evil. However, they just laughed at me. When we had almost finished our work, another man and I carried a large piece of asphalt felt together and threw it down from the roof. Both of us were supposed to let it go at the same time, but he released it from his hands first. I fell down from a height of 5 to 6 meters, pulled down by the felt. Before I realized what had happened, I fell into a boiler room and found myself lying on the small, empty floor. A cloud of dust kicked up with the fall. I looked up and saw a gaping hole in the roof, through which I saw frightened faces looking down. They were stunned and did not know what to do. I calmly stood up, climbed up onto the roof and continued working. They finally recovered their senses and said one after another, "This is too magical. Around the place where you fell down is full of pieces of iron and steel with sharp corners. If you had fallen onto one of them, you surely would have been disabled if not killed. However, you fell onto that tiny piece of flat floor." Another one said, "Having fallen down from such a height without any protection, you did not die and don't even have any wounds, and you began working as soon as you stood up. It seems that Falun Gong practitioners are really protected by your Master!"

I told them, "This is not a big deal. It is commonplace among Falun Gong disciples. It is nothing to be surprised about. The key is that we must follow our Master's requirements and do good deeds, and then we won't get into trouble." Upon hearing what I said, they all said sincerely, "It is better to do good deeds. Good people will be rewarded with good!"

I am a Dafa disciple who had once fallen down on my cultivation journey. However, our benevolent Master still looks after me. I shall devote all of my efforts to make up for my mistakes and assist Master in the Fa-rectification.
