The Abduction, Torture and Mistreatment of Dafa Practitioners by Chaoyang City Police in Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The unlawful people from Chaoyang City Police Department in Liaoning Province have been viciously persecuting Dafa practitioners. They sent out plainclothes policemen to spy on and arrest the practitioners who were posting or distributing Dafa materials. On the 9th day after the Chinese New Year, Guangming Police Station even arrested a 77-year old woman and sent her to Chaoyang No. 2 Detention Center.

Without any evidence, the corrupt officers from Guangming Police Station illegally detained Dafa practitioner Cong Runqing (female, 58-year old) in the No. 2 Detention Center. This practitioner was just walking on the street when a few plainclothes police officers suspected her to be a Dafa practitioner and arrested her. After two weeks of being unlawfully held in the No. 2 Detention Center, Cong Runqing started to become ill and could not eat or drink. The police thought she was pretending so they took her to No. 234 Hospital and asked a surgery department chief to take a look. The doctor just made a brief check and said that she was fine. After coming back to the detention center, this practitioner's situation continued to worsen. A Dafa practitioner in the same cell shouted "Help!" three times without any response, so she started to knock at the door. At this time, some male Dafa practitioners next door started to knock at their door to help get attention. Then a pig keeper shouted at the male Dafa practitioners, "What are you knocking for?" Moments later, guard Gao Jinghai came and asked, "Who is causing trouble? I'll shackle him with chains." A female Dafa practitioner asked doctor Xu, "Please take a look at her." Xu said, "If you were a male, I would give you three hard kicks." When they led Cong Runqing out of her cell, the pig keeper started to scold and curse the male practitioners. Then he said, "Come out and I'll beat you to death." Cong Runqing's symptoms continued to the 8th day. They gave her some IV solution in the No. 2 Detention Center. They said that they had informed Guangming Police Station. However, when the 9th day came, no one had showed up from that police station to take care of her.

The police officers from Chaoyang City Police Department committed all kinds of wicked deeds. Officer Zhang Minggui said, "We do not catch thieves; we just catch Falun Gong."

On January 28, 2002, when four Dafa practitioners went to their rented house to get some materials, a local community manager secretly reported them to the police. Hongqi Police Station sent out a large batch of police officers to arrest them. One practitioner was hit so hard by Chief Zhang that blood rushed out from her nose from both inside and outside. The police did not stop the beating until this woman and another Dafa practitioner were taken away to Shuangta District Police Department. After this practitioner got there, she suffered more non-stop torture. Her cheeks were covered with blisters caused by electric shock batons. Another practitioner's mouth had been shocked so badly that it was full of blisters. Between the two other Dafa practitioners who were kept in Hongqi Police Station, one was tied to an overhead heating duct after a brutal beating while standing barefoot on a ceramic floor. After a while, the police officers poured cold water on her head and feet. This torture continued for 18 hours. After the four Dafa practitioners were detained in the No. 1 Detention Center, they started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The guards started their brutal force-feeding and added a lot of salt to the feeding mixture. After they finished the force-feeding, they handcuffed and chained those Dafa practitioners' hands and feet.

We appeal to people of good conscience from all walks of life to join together to stop this brutal and inhumane persecution.
