Widow of Chongqing City Television Station Director Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) My father was the director of Chongqing City Television Station before he died from illness in 2000. My mother, Ma Tianqiong, is 65 years old and was formerly an associate professor of the In-Service Training Institute of the Chongqing Chang'an Factory. In February 2002, she was detained illegally for 15 days in the Qixinggang Police Station of Yuzhong District for posting Falun Dafa signs. Two weeks after she was released, on March 5, she was sentenced to two years in a labor camp simply because she had posted the signs. She had already been unfairly penalized for that, why did they then send her to a labor camp? We were told that it was the decision of the local 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. I worried very much about my mother's safety, because Chongqing Maojiashan Female Forced Labor Camp is notorious for its mistreatment of Falun Dafa practitioners.

I lost my job at the Chongqing Branch of the Bank of China because of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners led by the Jiang regime. I had been held in Xishanping Labor Camp for two years where I was subjected to all kinds of abuses. I am still suffering from some of the injuries and cannot move freely. In addition, I am having great difficulty in finding a job since I was released. I had been living with my mom where we supported each other. Now that my mom has been arrested, I am finding it much more difficult to carry on.

We are considered to be dependents of the staff of the Chongqing City Television Station. I appeal to all business partners of Chongqing City Television Station all over the world, including Phoenix Television Inc. of Hong Kong, Asia Television of Taiwan, and Macau Television to help my mom and me. I would also like to appeal to all kind-heart people, human rights organizations, and legal organizations to pay special attention to the persecution that is happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China and help to stop it.

A telephone call and a fax would help. Justice and kindness demonstrated by people will bring a bright future to everybody in the world, including you and me.
