New Jersey State Senate and General Assembly Issues Joint Legislative Resolution Acknowledging Falun Dafa Week in Morris County

JOINT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION
By Senator Bucco and Assemblymen Carroll and Merkt
WHEREAS, The Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey are pleased to note that Falun Dafa Week will take place in Morris County from April 7 to 13, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, As they kick off the first Falun Dafa Week ever to be held in Morris County on April 7, 2002, at the Joint Free Public Library, the practitioners of Falun Dafa have maintained their steadfast commitment to improving health in mind, body, and spirit and for encouraging the well-being of people from all social backgrounds, races, and religions; and,
WHEREAS, In addition, practitioners educate citizens in the smooth and tranquil exercises that can improve them physically and by promoting the universal qualities of truth, compassion, and tolerance that may strengthen them spiritually; and,
WHEREAS, Falun Dafa has touched numerous lives of New Jersey residents, who can join with fellow practitioners at many public libraries, schools, companies, community centers, senior centers, bookstores, universities, and parks; and,
WHEREAS, It is both proper and fitting for this Legislature to note the significance of Falun Dafa Week in Morris County, April 7 to 13, 2002; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
That this Legislature hereby joins in acknowledging Falun Dafa Week, and commends the practitioners in Morris County for their commitment and dedication to this advanced cultivation and practice system; and,
Be It Further Resolved, That a duly authenticated copy of this resolution be signed by the Senate Presidents and the Assembly Speaker and attested by the Senate Secretary and the Assembly Clerk.
