Whereas, Li Hongzhi, introduced the practice of Falun Dafa, the cultivation and practice system of mind, body, and sprit based on ancient wisdom; and

Whereas, Li Hongzhi, through Falun Dafa, has led people to conduct more meaningful lives through physical and mental exercise; and

Whereas, The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills and its residents are privileged to have Falun Dafa classes, which are aimed at promoting a deeper understanding of life and humanity, conducted within our community; and

Now, therefore, I, Mimi Letts, Mayor of Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, do hereby proclaim April 7, 2002 to April 13, 2002 as New Jersey Falun Dafa Week, and further proclaim that we, as residents of the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills recognize the efforts of Master Li Hongzhi, whose leadership and commitment have impressed the health and well-being of mankind.
