On the morning of April 9^th, Jiang was due to meet with the German Chancellor at the Presidential Palace. When Jiang appeared in the lobby of Adlon Hotel, a Chinese Dafa disciple staying at the hotel rushed out from the cafeteria and cried out: "Falun Dafa is good!" Two Western practitioners also came out from the cafeteria and joined in the chanting of "Falun Dafa is good!" Alarmed and upset, Jiang was whisked away by his nervous proteges.

At 10:30am, Jiang and his delegates arrived at City Hall to pay a visit to the mayor of Berlin. About 30-40 meters from the City Hall, many Chinese people were doing a "welcoming" show. Several of Jiang's proteges took time to speak obsequiously to those high school students waving their red flags: "Please, when President Jiang comes out, welcome him loudly. Let's overwhelm the voices from the Amnesty International protests." Those students who had been "bought out" consented readily. However, when Jiang and his sidekicks later left City Hall and hastily made their way to the sedans, a grand scene unfolded: In the front rows, many Dafa disciples were seen holding their palms erect to eliminate the evil, practitioners in the back were holding up Dafa banners of different colors and sizes, and surprisingly, the crowd that had gathered to welcome Jiang just stood there mute. Jiang and his proteges saw this for themselves. Embarrassed, they left City Hall.

At 11:00am, a press conference was held at the Prime Minister's office. When Jiang showed up wearing his trademark labored smile, a voice was heard in the audience of journalists: "Stop persecuting Falun Gong." Later, a tall, slender Chinese lady was led away by German and Chinese security personnel. However, her clear voice and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong" could still be heard on the TV news that night.

In the afternoon, Jiang encountered a western man in the lobby of the hotel. He waved to Jiang and said hello. Jiang answered with a smile. As Jiang passed him, that westerner said to him in Chinese, "Ni Hao. Falun Dafa Hao." ("Hello. Falun Dafa is good.") At that moment, the simpering smile vanished from Jiang's face and was replaced with anger and fear.

No wonder Jiang's security personnel complained in frustration, "Falun Gong is everywhere!"
