"They are All Thugs and Gangsters Whose Daily Job is to Make Trouble for Falun Gong" By a practitioner in China
(Clearwisdom.net) One day, when I went to hand out truth-clarifying
materials at an intersection, I saw a middle-aged woman selling some clothes on the side of the street. I approached her and bought a hat, and took the chance to
clarify the truth to her.
In our chat I learned that she had been without a job for many years and
lived on her 100 Yuan (Chinese currency, the average monthly income of an
urban worker is 500 Yuan) monthly allowance. The reason she was running this
small business was to support her son in college. I asked her if she knew
anything about Falun Gong. She talked about the scandals that were presented on
TV, and obviously she had been badly influenced by that. I clarified the truth
to her about Falun Gong each incident one by one. Then I told her my
personal story. I told her that after I started practicing Falun Gong, I refused
any gifts or bribes when I was in charge of the financial department in my work
unit. After hearing that she said surprisingly, "Aren't we all deceived
then? No wonder we see your Falun Gong posters on the street very frequently.
Why would people still believe in it if it was not good? If everyone acts like
Falun Gong practitioners, then the officials won't be corrupt anymore."
By that time some passers-by had been attracted by our talk and had gathered
around us. Suddenly the lady shouted, "Tigers are here!" A city
appearance management official came with several persons and began taking away
the lady's things. I tried to stop them by saying, "Aren't you always
talking about 'three representatives' [one of them is to represent the basic
rights of all Chinese people]? It is not easy for this lady to run her
business. If her business has done damage to the city's image you could ask her
to leave, but please don't take away her things." The city appearance
management official responded with curses and dirty words. He confiscated many
of her things and then left.
Someone in the crowd said, "Among those people there is only one city
official, the rest of them are all thugs and gangsters. Those things seized by
them are either divided among themselves or exchanged for drinks. The
authorities do not take care of such bad things. On the contrary, they always
try to make trouble for Falun Gong. Will they receive retribution?"
I told people the principle of "good will be rewarded with good and evil
meets evil," while trying to comfort the lady. I also gave them
truth-clarifying materials. All of them accepted the materials and thanked me.
