City Council of Paterson, New Jersey Holds Ceremony to Issue Resolution of "Falun Dafa Week" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 9, 2002, the City Council of Paterson, New Jersey held a ceremony in city hall to issue a Resolution of "Falun Dafa Week." On February 19, 2002, the city council passed the resolution, declaring the week of January 28 to February 3, 2002 as "Falun Dafa Week" in the City of Paterson. This resolution was initiated by city councilor Mr. Bill Kline. Mr. Alson Goow and Mr. Jeffery Jones, the city councilors and Ms. Marilee Jackson, the Chairman of the City Council supported the resolution and it was passed unanimously.

Mr. Bill Kline, city councilor, issues the resolution to Falun Gong representative.	Falun Dafa representatives are extending gratitude.

Mr. Bill Kline first gave a speech. He highly praised the contribution Falun Dafa has made to society and the great achievements it has obtained; he also noted that Falun Dafa helped people improve their health, purify their minds, uplift their morality, and deepen their understanding of life. Mr. Kline then issued the resolution to Falun Dafa representatives.

Falun Dafa representatives sincerely expressed their gratitude for the city council's praise and support of Falun Dafa. They also introduced the well received and many honors Falun Dafa had received in the State of New Jersey. Finally, Falun Dafa representatives wished a bright future for the people of the City of Paterson.

After the ceremony, practitioners extended their gratitude to all city councilors. Many citizens of the City of Paterson who attended the ceremony congratulated the practitioners.
