My Understanding and Experience in Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) In the past, I did not pay too much attention to sending forth righteous thoughts. I had been illegally arrested and detained at a labor camp since July 20^th of 1999. One day while I was at the labor camp, a common criminal who was assigned to watch me handed me a copy of the verses for sending forth righteous thoughts and told me that I should recite them frequently. I did not know how to send forth righteous thoughts. Whenever I had any free time, I would quietly recite the verses. At that time, I often saw myself eliminating the evil in my dreams.

After being released from the labor camp, I saw how many intensive great Fa-rectification deeds that Dafa practitioners who were not detained had been doing and felt that I had much to do before I could catch up with the progress of Fa-rectification. At that time, I did not study the Fa carefully with a calm mind and did not realize how important sending forth righteous thoughts was, and treated it as doing a job. At that time, my limited understanding was: how much Dafa work one does determines whether he has caught up with the progress of Fa-rectification or not. Therefore, I hastily began to participate in activities to clarify the truth outside of my home. Because of my inadequate understanding of the Fa, my thoughts had been deviated from the Fa, and the evil was able to take advantage of the loopholes in my mind. As a result, I was re-arrested and detained at a detention center only a dozen days after I was released from the labor camp.

After I was locked up inside of the detention center, I began to calm my mind and carefully thought of Teacher's "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A" that I had read a day earlier. In that lecture, Teacher said,

Precisely because I had not paid enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts over a long period of time, the evil was able to take advantage of the gap in my mind, and caused damage to Dafa and Dafa practitioners. After recognizing my own problem, I began to calm my mind and treat the matter of sending forth righteous thoughts seriously every day.

When I first began to send forth righteous thoughts, I felt cold all over my body and could not help from shivering. I felt that this was evil trying to prevent me from sending forth righteous thoughts, so I told myself that I had to persist. When sending forth righteous thoughts, I tried my absolute best to send forth all my gong, supernormal abilities and Falun. But the gong and supernormal abilities that I sent forth felt very light to me and did not seem to be very effective. What was my problem? What did I need to do so I could send forth the purest righteous thoughts possible?

In "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference," Teacher told us, "Why do you have an ability like this? It's only because you are a great cultivator. So when you send forth that thought it couldn't have been sent by anyone but a great cultivator." In "Send Forth Righteous Thoughts at Set Times," Clearwisdom editors stated, "While sending forth the righteous thoughts, imagine that you are like a god, as tall as heaven and incomparably noble, with an enormous body." We are Fa-rectification practitioners, divine beings cultivated from the Fa-rectification of the cosmos, and guardians of the future cosmos. We will be responsible for all the righteous elements in the cosmos. Throughout the cultivation process of the last several years, we have always used "Zhen-Shan-Ren," the fundamental great law of the cosmos, to guide our action and continuously rectified our xinxing and our own lives.

At this moment, we are fulfilling our pre-historical vow of "assisting the Teacher in the human world." We are using our most righteous lives, purest hearts and most determined righteous thoughts to uphold Dafa and eliminate all the evil that is trying to damage Dafa, encompassing all of it and leaving out none. When I realized this, I began to understand what I was doing and what I should do. After that, when sending forth righteous thoughts, I felt my righteous thoughts had become determined and pure.

As I used my Buddha-Fa supernormal abilities to eliminate the evil determinedly and use "Zhen-Shan-Ren," the most fundamental great laws of the cosmos, to cleanse my own field, I experienced strong vibrations inside of my body. Gradually I saw that my own body had undergone great changes as well. My skin appeared whiter and felt very smooth. I felt as if every single pore in my body was open. In addition, when sending forth righteous thoughts, I no longer felt cold. I began to feel warm instead. After these changes took place in my body, I was able to leave the detention center in an upright and dignified manner.

Why did my body undergo changes after sending forth righteous thoughts? That is because "the human body corresponds to external dimensions, and they all have such forms of existence" (from chapter 2 of Zhuan Falun). There could be a spatial gap in between each layer of our bodies and every single small universe. If we do not carefully cleanse everything inside of our own dimensional fields, we are very likely to provide hiding places for the evil, even to the point of affecting the speed of Fa-rectification. When I felt cold during sending forth righteous thoughts, it indicated that there were negative materials or beings in my own fields and corresponding external dimensions. So we must give importance to sending forth righteous thoughts.

After truly understanding the importance and necessity of sending forth righteous thoughts from the point view of the Fa, I no longer treat sending forth righteous thoughts as a chore that I have to do every day. Instead, I treat sending forth righteous thoughts seriously each time. When I send forth righteous thoughts now, my supernormal abilities no longer feel light. Instead, I feel that they are very strong and powerful.

Using righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil takes places in other dimensions in a form that we cannot see. The form that is displayed in this dimension is exposing evil and clarifying the truth to the people of the world. Let us be responsible for all the righteous elements inside of the cosmos, exercise benevolence, send forth our most determined and purest righteous thoughts, eliminate the evil and offer salvation to the people of the world.
