Brutal Torture of Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Tao from Shijiazhuang in Heibei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Tao, 28 years old, college degree, lived in the Tangu district at the following address: 50-4-201, Shijiazhuang City. She has been detained several times and illegally held in prison because she had often gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa on Tiananmen Square. After she was released, officers from the police station often harassed her without reason. Liu Tao had no choice but to leave her home to avoid further persecution. In October of 2000, ruffians kidnapped her while she clarified the truth to the ordinary people, illegally sentenced her to three years of forced labor and held her at No. 1 Division of Shijiazhuang's Forced Labor Camp.

During her detention, all Dafa practitioners were cruelly tortured simply because they wouldn't give up their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. In order to resist the persecution, on May 11, 2001, Ms. Liu Tao jumped off the building from the fourth floor, resulting in ten bone fractures, four of them compound fractures. The camp authorities feared their evilness would be exposed. They forced Ms. Liu Tao to undergo surgery, without notifying her family members. The authorities sent her back to the forced labor camp the 26^th days after the surgery, even though she was encased in a body cast and had steel pins in various parts of her body. She was almost paralyzed. Ms. Liu Tao's relatives requested several times to bail her out for independent hospitalization outside of the prison, but all requests were refused. During this period, Ms. Liu Tao received unimaginable double torture, both physically and mentally.

In January of 2002, in order to force Ms. Liu Tao to give up her belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, the camp authorities found several collaborators to brainwash Ms. Liu. Two of those were Yao Jianrong and Xing Xiao. Because they didn't' achieve their goal, they transferred Ms. Liu Tao to the so-called "Law Enforcement Education Center" in Hebei Province, which in fact is a brainwashing class, to continue to mistreat her. Ms. Liu Tao was mentally tortured, which was more brutal than physical torture. The lawless people asked the collaborators to take turns to confuse and indoctrinate her, constantly played videos and TV and made her listen to articles slandering and defaming Master and Dafa. That didn't work. Someone then used false kindness to try to waver Dafa practitioners' righteous thoughts towards Dafa.

During these difficult 19 days and nights in the brainwashing class, Liu Tao endured not only mental torture, but also suffered physical pain from the injuries that hadn't recovered from the fall. Ms. Liu didn't commit any crime but she was kidnapped to a forced labor camp, unable to be bailed out for hospitalization with fractures in ten places on her body, not allowed family visits or any personal freedom. Ms. Liu Tao was injured nearly a year ago but hasn't yet recovered. She needs someone to hold on to her to go to the restroom, and needs someone to take care of her daily needs.

The illegal brainwashing at the "Law Enforcement Education" center failed. She was transferred back to No. 5 Division. However, the evil's brainwashing hasn't stopped yet. The abuse is still going on. Ms. Liu Tao's case is only the tip of the iceberg and merely one example representing torture cases of countless faithful and unyielding Dafa practitioners.

We call upon World Human Rights organizations, non-governmental and governmental organizations in all nations to offer help and intervene for the persecuted, abused, mistreated and tortured Dafa practitioners in China. Thank you.
