Vienna, Austria: My Experiences Spreading the Fa in Europe (Part 1)

(Clearwisdom.net) Our 11-day Fa-spreading trip to Europe from March 13 to March 23 was my first trip abroad. Most Falun Gong practitioners in our team were elderly people; I deeply felt the significance of our mission on this trip.

On March13, when we were transferring flights at the Hong Kong airport, a Hong Kong police officer followed us all the way. He reported information about us to his superiors through a two-way radio. How necessary was it to deploy police to treat such kind Falun Gong practitioners in this way? Thus I personally experienced the nature of Jiang's evil regime abroad.

When we arrived in Singapore and were going to transfer onto another flight, practitioners formed a circle and practiced the exercises. Some practitioners handed out truth-clarifying pamphlets. There were many Westerners watching us as we performed the exercises. A lady from Turkey learned the exercises on the spot. I thought she was a person with a predestined relationship with Dafa.

On the afternoon of March 14, we arrived at our first destination in Vienna, Austria. After a short break, we headed to the first site to spread the Fa, St. Petersburg Cathedral. On the way to the cathedral, practitioners handed out pamphlets and clarified the truth about Falun Gong as they met people. I took an English version of Zhuan Falun, and met a man with a predestined relationship. When he realized that I was giving the book to him as a present, he was so excited that he ran and jumped with his companion.

A local Chinese woman expressed that she was very eager to learn the exercises. I told her there would be a candlelight vigil that night. She indicated she would bring her friend to the vigil. When we were clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, a young man kept pointing at my neck. I finally understood that he wished to have a scarf like the one I was wearing, which was printed with the characters, "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance"-- so I gave him one.

The candlelight vigil began, the music of "Pu Du" and "Ji Shi" [Falun Dafa music] started playing, and the scene was solemn and sacred. As more and more people gathered to watch us, fellow practitioners took the opportunity to clarify the truth and hand out flyers. The Chinese lady we met before the vigil also participated in our activity. I sat beside her and answered some of her questions. She was quite pleased and expressed that she was very eager to read the book, Zhuan Falun. I presented her with a copy and she was very happy.

Some practitioners took the opportunity to have lunch or dinner in nearby Chinese restaurants to clarify the truth and hand out truth-clarifying CDs. It was said the effect was very good.
