Solemn Declaration from Liu Wanfen, a Dafa Practitioner from Xian County, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 26, 1999, on the front page of the Changzhou Evening Paper appeared, "An Account of Repentance." The report was about Liu Wanfen, who was a Falun Gong assistant for Xian County, a member of the Party, and the former director of the supervising law-enforcement office of the Disciplinary Inspection Committee of Xian County. Through continuous study of the Fa and practice of the exercises, Dafa practitioner Liu Wanfen had realized that she was deceived by the media at that time, and solemnly declared that everything she said that was published during that period of time that didn't conform to Dafa is completely void.

Dear friends, relatives and fellow citizens,

I have been practicing cultivation in Falun Dafa for more than five years. I have experienced all kinds of difficulties and hardships and have wavered [in my belief], and also have discovered my selfishness, attachment to fear, and pursuit of comfort. It is the mighty power of Falun Dafa that has inspired me to arduously move forward step by step. It is Teacher who leads me to progress toward higher levels. I also deeply realized that all the things Teacher has given to Dafa practitioners and all sentient beings of the universe could never be repaid in full, even using all we have, including our lives. We will never know what Teacher has endured for rectifying the universe, for all sentient beings of the universe and for all Dafa practitioners. This is only my understanding that I have realized at my own level.

The great law of the universe taught by Teacher enables true practitioners to improve their morality, to be compassionate, and to be healthy both physically and mentally. All these are only what I can express by the use of mere language. The deeper connotation cannot be described by human language. In the course of my cultivation practice, I gradually realized that the purpose of human beings is not to be a human, but that "Cultivating Dafa to return to one's true, original self is the real purpose of people coming to this world today." ("Fa-Lecture in New Zealand," unofficial translation) During the Fa-rectification period, being totally immersed in Dafa cultivation and truly safeguarding the Fa are what every practitioner should do. Teacher said, "Actually, people are all waiting for the Fa." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference" in Guiding the Voyage) Because of this, when Dafa is suffering the most serious persecution in history, Dafa practitioners are able to disregard their own safety and step forward in waves to uphold Dafa, validate Dafa and guard Dafa with their lives. Dafa practitioners take risks of being arrested, being sent to forced labor camps and sentenced to jail. They bravely face brutal tortures and step forward openly and righteously to clarify the truth to the public and to validate Dafa. Their actions not only point toward restoring the reputation of Dafa and Teacher, but also to assisting Teacher in offering salvation to sentient beings. What Dafa practitioners have done is not for pursuing fame or self-interest, nor for any political purposes. They are offering salvation to people. "You should know that once a person learns the truth and the real meaning of life, he will not regret giving up his life for it." ("Some Thoughts of Mine" in Essentials for Further Advancement II) Using our lives to safeguard and uphold Dafa is the oath of all true practitioners. I am also in the process of Fa-rectification cultivation and have gradually eliminated all bad things from my mind. Dafa practitioners' rock-solid commitment to Teacher also inspires and encourages me. I will redouble my efforts to make up for the losses I caused to Dafa, keep up with Teacher's Fa-rectification process and protect the Fa with my life. It is the greatest and most magnificent thing for Dafa practitioners to closely follow Teacher's Fa-rectification. Even if I have to face more difficulties and persecution, my heart's will is as solid as a rock and I will never complain or regret.
