United Daily News (Taiwan): Falun Gong Practitioners Demonstrate the Exercises on the Anniversary of Maritime Affairs Professional School (Photos)

United Daily News reporter Chen Jisuo reports from Suao - The National Suao Maritime Affairs Professional School held its 43rd anniversary yesterday. Faculty and students were elated and held various celebration activities. Some drew color paintings on the wall surrounding the school, displayed handicrafts, and demonstrated taekwondo and judo. The recently established Falun Gong Association demonstrated Falun Gong exercises.

The anniversary celebration started at 8:00 a.m. yesterday with planting trees on campus led by president Qiu Maocheng. The students of the Falun Gong Association set up one month ago demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. Though the Mainland Chinese government prohibits Falun Gong practice in public, Falun Gong practitioners here not only can gather freely to practice, but also can be in the school for students learn. Falun Gong practitioner Wu Qingzhong said that Falun Gong's principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and that high school students are full of vigor and can improve both mind and body after learning.
