Labor Camp Officials Torture Dafa Practitioners: What Happened in Dongfeng Labor Camp in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of January 22, 2002, in Daqing City, the Dongfeng Forced Labor Camp authories organized a public showing of a CCTV program entitled, "Focus Interview," in an attempt to disseminate lies about Falun Dafa. Afterwards practitioners Cao Jingdong and Zhuang Gangxiang told the people that the program was not truthful. Upon hearing their comments, the division chief Wang Yingzhou and several criminal inmates grabbed Cao Jingdong and started to beat him. Practitioners Zhuang Gangxiang and Wei Bensheng condemned the inmates, "How could you prisoners beat people?" No sooner had Zhuang finished making his comment than the thugs knocked him down to the ground causing him to fall unconscious. When he regained consciousness, Zhuang found himself missing a tooth and his mouth bleeding. The criminals tied Cao Jingdong and Zhuang Gangxiang to "Tiger benches." [A torture device. After the incident, camp director Wang Yongxiang, Management section chief Han Qingshan, Political Commissar Song, and Medical Clinic Supervisor Jiang rushed to the No. 1 Division (where the incident happened). Han Qingshan falsely accused Wei Bensheng of attacking the police. Together with Wang Yingzhou and Zhang Jinsheng, Han Qingshan began to beat and kick Wei Bensheng. After that they tied Wei Bensheng with a special rope torture called "three ropes tie." (A special method of torture)

Zhuang Gangxiang was forced to sit on a "Tiger bench" for two days and nights. To protest, he started a hunger strike. On the same night, Cao Jingdong was locked up in a solitary cell, sittin on a "Tiger bench." Later he was tied with two ropes [a type of torture device, description and picture can be found at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html] and was brutally beaten. The main culprits were policemen Han Qingshan and Wang Yingzhou. The next morning, prison guards tightened Cao Jingdong with two additional ropes and started another round of torture. Cao Jingdong suffered a black eye and his ears became swollen. The police also attacked him by beating his chest violently. When he returned to the cell two days later, he couldn't even straighten his back; his saliva was bloody and he was in pain for over half a month.

After this incident, practitioner Li Dongning went on a hunger strike to protest. The afternoon of the next day, Policemen Wang Yingzhou and Han Qingsheng brutally beat him up. They also tied him up and whipped him with a rope.

Recently, the Dongfeng Forced Labor Camp ordered ten additional "Tiger benches" and planned to intensify their torture of practitioners.
