Rare, Heavy April Snowfall in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province; Occurrence is a Warning to People Who Persecute Dafa Disciples

(Clearwisdom.net) There was a rare occurrence of heavy snow in Chengdu City recently in mid April. The accumulated snow was 50~60 cm (about 1.5 ~ 2 feet) overnight.

It was reported that from 8:30 p.m. on April 16, 2002, snow began to fall in Riyueping on Xiling Snow Mountain, which is 3250 meters above sea level. The heavy snow continued for more than 10 hours, and the snow on the ground was 50~60 cm when it stopped the next morning. According to the people living in the region, the snow normally starts in November and ends in March. It was really rare that such a heavy and long-lasting snow occurred in mid April.

There is an ancient story that described snow falling in June, was because of the outrageous grievance and unfair treatment of a woman named Dou'e. There is nothing in the world that is coincidental.

Ever since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's corrupt regime began their nationwide campaign to persecute Falun Gong, the evil officials and police force in Sichuan Province, particularly in Chengdu City, used all kinds of malicious and cruel ways to persecute Dafa and Dafa practitioners. Many innocent and compassionate Dafa practitioners were arrested, detained, tortured, abused physically and mentally, with their homes illegally searched. Some died in police custody. The news of the death of Chengdu University associate professor Zhang Chuansheng was recently made public. Zhang was a 54-year-old university professor who taught for 30 years, with students from all over the world. He was maliciously tortured and then strangled to death by the evil police in Chengdu City Detention Center just because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong.

Right before the 2002 Chinese New Year, Zhang Chuansheng, together with his wife and 6-year-old daughter, came to Ya'an, his hometown, to celebrate the New Year. The day after their arrival, Chinese New Year's Eve (February 11), the police in the Chengdu City Simaqiao Police Station and the officials from Chengdu University followed Zhang's family to Ya'an and arrested him. Then he was sent to Chengdu City Detention Center.

Only a few days later, on February 15 at around 11:00 p.m, Zhang's family received the notice from the Simaqiao Police Station saying that Zhang Chuansheng died at 9:00 a.m. due to heart disease. The appearance of Zhang's body was shocking. His entire face was swollen and black; dried blood was on his face and lips; and there was a deep, one inch wide strangling mark on his neck. The police sinisterly threatened Zhang's family saying "Whoever dares to talk about the cause of Zhang's death will have his entire family killed."

Until now, the law has not punished those murderers who killed Zhang Chuansheng, instead, they were honored by Chengdu City Police Department.

The compassion of gods will give people hints in the forms of natural and manmade disasters. It will give people a chance to value virtue and kindness, and to correct their wrongdoings and to be good people. In recent years, Sichuan Province continuously had all kinds of natural and manmade disasters, such as serious traffic accidents, explosions, poisoning incidents, thunderstorms, hail storms, plus the most recent extraordinary weather. All these should make us contemplate.
