Ever since Dafa was brought to the public, countless kindhearted people have taken up cultivation practice. Especially in this great historical period of Fa-rectification, even when the Dafa practitioners are under suppression and persecution, they have continued to practice and promote Falun Dafa. With continuous efforts, the practitioners have persevered in clarifying the truth and eliminating the evil. In the process, many convicted criminals have come to recognize the greatness of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth, Compassion, Forbearance), in Dafa's teachings. These prisoners have sincerely repented their sins. They are now following a righteous path, at the same time standing up to the injustices done to the Dafa practitioners. Many of the prisoners are righteously defending Dafa and upholding the truth under enormous pressure.

8.áá Since we constantly clarified the truth, many prisoners who were originally sent by the police to monitor Falun Dafa practitioners also started to practice Falun Gong or to protect Dafa practitioners. In an attempt to stop us from studying the Fa, the prison searched us thoroughly every two to three days. The prisoners volunteered to protect Dafa materials. We hesitated to let them do that, since they would be punished or not be able to shorten their sentences had they been discovered. At that time, one person said, "Don't worry, if the worst comes to the worst I will just have to stay for my full sentence." Another person said, "This is what we should do."

9. ááAfter listening to us talk about Falun Dafa, one prisoner was half believing and half doubting. The next morning she told us that she had a dream. In the dream, a crowd of people with odd appearances and figures wanted to harm these prisoners. She immediately told other prisoners, "Let's sit down and practice Falun Gong." Then everyone sat cross-legged. This group of grotesque people then vanished. Finished describing her dream, she asked me, "Are these all real?" I replied, "Yes. Looking from your dream, that side of yours actually believes in Falun Dafa deeply. Only this side of yours is disturbed by karma [and therefore does not believe in Dafa]. It is actually not a dream."

10. One prisoner firmly believes in Falun Dafa. We felt that sometimes Teacher used his mouth to point out our attachments. This prisoner told us that he saw Dafa practitioners all wearing the cassocks in his dream. They were jumping down a hole. At that time, the prisoner was very anxious, worrying about the safety of the practitioners. Then she heard a voice echoing in the air, "They are descendents of Dafa. They will be all right."

11. Several days after I was detained, I had a dream one night. A boy told me that he wanted me to be his girlfriend. I told him that I already had a boyfriend. Then Master appeared. He smiled at me and said, "I believe that you can handle this well." I felt very strange after I woke up, "I am imprisoned now. How could something like this happen?" The next day, I suddenly received a letter written by a male prisoner. He said that he did not understand why I was smiling everyday in jail and asked what crime I had committed exactly. I thought about Teacher's words in the dream and immediately replied to him. I described how I was arrested because of practicing Falun Gong. I told him about Falun Dafa, and using the principles of Dafa, explained why I was not unhappy like other prisoners. Very soon, I received his letter again. He indicated that he believed in Falun Dafa and felt that Falun Dafa is very good. Later, the male prisoners learned about this. They often came to me for advice whenever they had trouble. I told them about the principle of Falun Dafa and how to check ourselves with "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." These prisoners then told prisoners in other prisons. Many prisoners developed the good wish to practice Falun Dafa.

12. In the detention center, a prisoner was sentenced because of stealing and locked up with practitioners who had gone to Beijing to appeal. She took the path of cultivation and persisted in practicing the exercises and studying the Fa with the practitioners in jail. The police cuffed her hands and feet for two days and nights, and asked whether she would continue to practice. She firmly answered, "Yes." On the third day, the police tied her up in an electric chair and tortured her for one day and night. They asked her again whether she would continue to practice. She said with determination, "Yes." This new practitioner's great and firm action effectively suffocated the evil. They finally had to give up and left.

13. Along with the speeding-up process of Fa rectification and deeper truth-clarification, people including the criminals came to understand the truth more and more. The criminals who conducted crimes in ordinary people's society have done wrong things because of wrong thoughts in that split second. They actually may not be bad people. Many prisoners' conscience and righteousness were inspired, and started to protest and care for the practitioners who were persecuted in jail. Their respect for Dafa and everything they have done for Dafa practitioners have already established a good foundation for their future. Furthermore, according to them, many of them have seen, to a certain extent, spectacular scenes of gods, Buddha's, and dragons etc. in other dimensions. Some prisoners who were due for release indicated that they would tell their family members that Falun Dafa is good and let their family practice Falun Gong as well. They also said that they would write letters to the National People's Congress and the governments to demand the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners to be stopped.
