Female Falun Dafa practitioner Shen Jianli from Changchun City, Jilin Province was arrested in Nanguan on March 6, 2002. Recently we learned that she has been tortured to death. A police officer unintentionally gave away this information. We hope that the international community will investigate this incident.

Shen Jianli, about 30, was the wife of Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Weidong. Refusing to cooperate with the authorities' illegal persecution, she went on a hunger strike and even refused to drink any water after her arrest. Her husband Zheng Weidong is one of the thirteen Falun Dafa practitioners illegally sentenced to prison by the Nanguan District Court. They have a 4-year-old daughter. Before being arrested, Shen had asked a fellow practitioner to please take care of her daughter if she did not come home. Now her little daughter is left in the care of her fellow practitioners.
