We are notified by the members of the Falun Gong Association of Canada that Chinese practitioners of Falun Gong are about to come under the most severe persecution, including death, for no other reason than practicing Falun Gong, a series of slow exercises and meditation with the guiding principle of " Truth, Compassion, Tolerance".
They advise us that the President of China, Jiang Zemin is said to have issued orders to "Kill Without Pardon" Falun Gong members after China's state-run television in Changchun was interrupted with a pro-Falun Gong program. Already Chinese policemen have arrested 5000 Falun Gong practitioners and killed 100 of them in a city of China, Changchun in March 2002.
We request that you do everything in your power to persuade the Chinese Government not to violate International Human Rights Conventions by arresting and executing members of Falun Gong.
