Abduction and Extortion in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Heilongjiang Province - Guan Chaomei, female, 44 years old, works in the Daqing Babaixiang No.1 Hospital and lives in Daqing Babaixiang, District Twelve. On June 18, 2000, she went to join a group Falun Gong practice and was arrested and sent to the Daqing Detention Center. Later, she was transferred to a detention center in Zhaoyuan County and was detained for 40 days. Afterwards, she was transferred to the Daqinghonggang Detention Center and was detained for 15 days. During the period of her detention, she was beaten up with bruises covering her body. She refused to cooperate with the evil. After returning to the work unit, the leaders attempted to force her to write the "Guarantee Letters" and she refused. The leaders withheld her salary. They refused to give her a raise and her stipend was taken away. They even resorted to change the position of her job in order to pressure her.

At the end of 2001, five Dafa practitioners and I drove to Mingshui County of Heilongjiang Province to distribute truth-clarifying materials. One of us was arrested. Policeman Ma Jinglin from Mingshui detained our vehicle, took 500 Yuan, a cell phone and a pager. The practitioner arrested was sentenced to one year of labor camp. Her retirement salary was also taken.

Gao Yanxia, is a 42 year-old woman and an employee of an engineering company living in Xinghua Village in Daqing. She went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for 15 days. In October 2001, she went to post Dafa posters and was detained for 75 days. She was beaten up while in detention. Her head became swollen beyond recognition from the beating. Her ears, face, chest and back were covered with bruises. She could not stand up. In February 2000, Policeman Li Liqun from Xinghua Police Station extorted 10,000 Yuan from her under the pretense of not giving up her belief. In November 2000, Longfeng Detention Center in Daqing extorted 175 Yuan from her without any receipt given.

He Biao is a 39 year-old employee who works in foodservice at the Daqing Petroleum Chemical Industry. He lives in Xinghua Village. On July 20, 1999, the Party Secretary Liu Chunhua and Vice Director Gao Qisheng urged him to give up cultivation. He wrote the "Guarantee Letter" under pressure. After August 1999, Policeman Lou Mingxing made frequent calls to harass He Biao at his work place. Policeman Lou also led two policemen to search He Biao's home. In November 2000, He Biao went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for nine days in Haidian Detention Center. "Liu Bin extorted 200 Yuan from me." After being released from Daqing, He Biao was detained in Longfeng Detention Center for two months. "The leader in my work place demanded 20,000 Yuan from my supervisor as a guarantee without any receipt given. I was forced to pay for their trip to Beijing to pick me up when I was arrested. They did not give me any receipt. In addition, the workplace took 2000 Yuan from me with no receipt given." He Biao clarified the truth on the bus in January 2001 and told people Falun Dafa had been wrongfully charged. As a result he was arrested and detained in Longfeng Detention Center. He was released after a 19 day hunger strike. Police Zhou Cunxing forced him to pay a 200 Yuan "fine," or they would extend his jail term for half a month. In May 2000, Li Yanting from the police station and Chi Shuang from the company extorted 10,000 Yuan from him.
